Carrie Underwood Honors Country Music's Female Stars with Performance at ACM Awards 2020 - Watch Now!

Carrie Underwood hits the stage for a performance at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, which aired on Wednesday (September 16).

The 37-year-old country music star paid tribute to the 95th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry House by performing the greatest hits of some of country music’s most legendary female artists.

Carrie performed “Crazy” by Patsy Cline, “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)” by Loretta Lynn, “I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool” by Barbara Mandrell, “Why’d You Come in Here Lookin’ Like That” by Dolly Parton, “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” by Reba McEntire, and finally “A Broken Wing” by Martina McBride.

Earlier in the night, Carrie joined all of the Entertainer of the Year nominees by opening the show with a medley of their big hits.

Carrie Underwood hits the stage at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry while participating in the opening number of the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, which aired on Wednesday (September 16).

The five nominees for Entertainer of the Year kicked off the show by performing some of their biggest hits. Carrie was joined by Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Thomas Rhett.

Luke B. began the medley with his song “Rain Is a Good Thing” followed by Eric and his song “Drink in My Hand.” Luke C. was next with “Hurricane” from the Bluebird Cafe and Thomas then performed “It Goes Like This.”

Carrie completed the medley by performing her hit song “Before He Cheats.” She is also nominated for Female Artist of the Year!

Carrie Underwood Announces First Full-Length Christmas Album, Out in September!

Carrie Underwood just unveiled the first look at her upcoming Christmas album, My Gift!

This is the first, full-length Christmas album from the 37-year-old singer and will feature a combination of beloved traditional favorites celebrating her faith and the spiritual nature of the holiday, plus some original songs as well.

The official track list will be revealed soon.

“I’ve always wanted to make a Christmas album and it’s been a long time coming,” Carrie shared. “I knew this would be my next music project after wrapping my tour last year, and I think it’s turned out to be the perfect time for an album like this, in this period of such personal and spiritual reflection.”

She adds, “For me, it’s more important than ever to focus on the true meaning of Christmas in a project like this. Even though it has been a tough year for all of us, sometimes I feel like the greatest realizations can be inspired by the most difficult times, and make us more grateful for the things we do have and for what truly matters.”

My Gift will be out on September 25, and the vinyl on October 30. Stay tuned for a pre-order link!

Carrie Underwood revealed some exciting news to fans today during a virtual fan club party.

The 37-year-old country superstar revealed that she has plans to release a full length Christmas album.

While Carrie didn’t share any song selections for the record, she did state she intends to release the project before the holiday season.

This will mark Carrie‘s first full-length Christmas album. In the past, she has released versions of “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “The First Noel,” “What Child Is This” and “O Holy Night”, which were all featured on a special holiday edition of her Carnival Ride album.
