The 34-year-old “Love Me Like You Do” singer and the 29-year-old former art dealer confirmed the happy news on social media on Sunday (May 2).
“Mum and baby both healthy and happy. Extremely grateful,” Caspar wrote on his Instagram Story.
“I don’t ever address the public attention that comes with Ellie’s job. But during this magical and personal moment we would really appreciate being able to enjoy our privacy .. Thank you x,” he added.

Ellie Goulding‘s baby bump is growing!
The 34-year-old singer was spotted on a casual walk with husband Caspar Jopling in London, England on Wednesday afternoon (April 28), and put her baby bump on display in a cute cardigan with only one button fastened.
The two were seen picking up some drinks to go while out and about in the city.
Ellie only confirmed she was expecting a baby in a sweet Instagram post in February.
“I needed time to get my head around it,” Ellie had explained about why she waited so long to announce she was pregnant.
She added that she “needed that space to process what was happening.”
“I’ve always defined myself as a touring musician. That’s who I am and what I do. Being a mother wasn’t in my mind frame, I’ve never felt any woman had to be defined by motherhood,” Ellie revealed.

On Friday (April 16), the 34-year-old “Love Me Like You Do” singer’s husband Caspar Jopling took to his Instagram to share a photo of his pregnant wife along with a sweet caption.

“My best friend is pregnant btw (with my new best friend ) xx,” the 29-year-old art dealer wrote.
In the photo, Ellie is showing off her bare baby bump while she and Caspar dip their feet in a pond.
Ellie first announced that she was pregnant back in February. This will be the first child for the couple, who have been married since 2019.
In a new interview, Ellie explained why she waited until she was “30 weeks pregnant” to publicly announce her pregnancy.

Ellie Goulding and her husband Caspar Jopling are expecting their first child together!
The 34-year-old singer spoke to Vogue about finding out she was pregnant.
“We did the one show [in August 2020]. I was pregnant and had no idea,” she told the mag. “That was [around] the time when Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out. It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human. I want a better word than womanly, [but]—I have curves I’ve never had before. I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it.”
“I actually went from being smug about how healthy my salads were and my breakfasts and eating nuts and seeds, and then all I wanted was McDonalds,” she continued. “And I was kind of terrified, I suddenly wanted all of the bad things! Whatever this baby did when it took over my body was like, Hell no—I do not want broccoli, spinach, collards! I just wanted sugar and carbs.”
“I’m excited to be a mother—but also I want to make sure that I continue to work,” she added. “I can’t wait to go back on tour. I’ve been in the studio most days, [and] I’m excited for the challenge. It will be a totally new experience.”

Ellie Goulding is looking amazing during her performance at the V&A museum on Wednesday night (August 26) in London, England.
The performance was live streamed for ticket holders amid the Coronavirus pandemic to promote keeping everyone home and safe, while still being able to enjoy live music!
Ellie‘s husband Caspar Jopling was seen walking out of the venue after her performance just before she left as well.
“I can’t believe I just did my first show of 2020. what a f*ckin rush. the #BrightestBlue Experience streams again at 7:30pm PDT (America) and one last time at 7:30pm AEST (Australia). Where will you be watching from?,” Ellie posted after the show.
