The upcoming movie Borderlands, based on the popular video game, is one of the most highly anticipated movies in the works right now!

Jamie Lee Curtis, who is starring in the new movie as Dr. Patricia Tannis, snapped some great photos of the cast in character and they’ve been shared online.

Here is the film’s synopsis: “Lilith (Cate Blanchett), an infamous treasure hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of Atlas (Edgar Ramírez), the universe’s most powerful S.O.B. She forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits – Roland (Kevin Hart), once a highly respected soldier, but now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), the scientist who’s seen it all; and Claptrap (Jack Black), a persistently wiseass robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other.”

Eli Roth is directing the movie from a screenplay he wrote with Craig Mazin. The release date has not yet been announced.

The highly anticipated movie Borderlands, an adaptation of the popular video game, has completed casting and you can see the full cast list here!

Eli Roth is directing the upcoming movie for Lionsgate and Cate Blanchett is starring as the lead role of Lilith.

Roth told Deadline, “I am so excited to work with this incredible, top notch cast. Every single part counts and elevates the film and we have the best of the best coming in to really make Borderlands spectacular. I love movies where every character counts and you can only achieve that with a great cast. Every one of these gifted actors will bring something special to the film.”

The new casting additions including Gina Gershon and Cheyenne Jackson, among others.

Cate Blanchett‘s role in Armageddon Time has finally been revealed.

According to filmmaker James Gray, the 51-year-old award winning actress will be portraying Donald Trump‘s sister in the upcoming project, and she’ll only be on the set for a maximum of three days.

“Cate Blanchett is going to play Donald Trump’s sister which is the weirdest sentence I have ever said,” James shared in an interview, and added that “she’s only in it for three days, she’s doing me a favor.”

He added, “She has a really long speech to deliver, it’s a real scene-stealer. I’ve tried to recreate the real speech as best I could from memory.”

Cate‘s casting was first reported in June of 2020, but the role remained a mystery.

Armageddon Time is planned to be an autobiographical drama movie inspired by Gray’s coming-of-age as a child while attending the Kew-Forest School in Queens, New York.

The former President is an alumni of the school in real life, and the former U.S. president’s sister visited the school when James was a student to give a speech to the student body.

Robert De Niro, Oscar Isaac, Donald Sutherland, and Anne Hathaway are also set to star in the movie.

The actors were spotted filming various scenes for their upcoming movie Don’t Look Up on Tuesday (January 19) in Boston, Mass.

Jennifer and Leo were seen exiting a New York City limo on the set, walking into a building that had a yellow street sign with a monkey featured in the sign.

Cate was seen wearing a dress and high heels while running out of a FBI vehicle up the steps of a building.

The movie “centers on two low-level scientists (Lawrence and DiCaprio) who, upon discovering that a meteor will strike the Earth in six months, go on a media tour to try to warn the world but find an unreceptive and unbelieving populace.” There are SO MANY A-list stars in the cast!

Cate Blanchett and Tyler Perry are getting to work!

The 51-year-old Carol actress and the 51-year-old Madea star were both spotted on set filming scenes for their upcoming Netflix movie Don’t Look Up on Friday (January 15) in Westborough, Mass.

Cate showed off her bleach blonde hair look and heavy makeup as they headed to the set.

The two are rumored to play talk show hosts in the A-list film. Ariana Grande also just finished filming her scenes on the same day!

The Adam McKay film features a ton of A-list superstars, including Timothee Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio. Previously announced stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and Tomer Sisley are all in the cast as well.

Netflix and Adam McKay are giving previously announced star Jennifer Lawrence so many co-stars in the upcoming ensemble movie, according to Deadline on Wednesday (October 14).

Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and Tomer Sisley are also joining the cast, which also includes the previously announced Rob Morgan.

Adam will write, direct and co-produce.

The comedy is about “two scientists who discover that a meteor will strike the Earth in six months. They go on a media tour trying to warn the world but find an unreceptive and unbelieving populace.”

“She’s what folks in the 17th century used to call ‘a dynamite act.’ And the fact that Netflix sees this movie as a worldwide comedy sets the bar high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way,” said Adam in a previous statement about booking Jennifer Lawrence.

According to the report, Leonardo had been weighing the project for some time, considering his schedule in filming Martin Scorsese‘s Killers of the Flower Moon.

A theatrical release “seems very likely,” but Deadline reports that this film is “a sign of things to come as it is unclear when theaters will fully reopen as more and more movies are either pushing their release dates or move from a studio to a streamer.”

Ariana Grande also just made an unexpected announcement!

Cate Blanchett looks stunning while walking the red carpet at the closing ceremony of the 2020 Venice Film Festival on Saturday (September 12) in Venice, Italy.

The Oscar-winning actress served on the jury of the festival this year and walked the red carpet many times throughout the past two weeks.

Cate was joined by fashion designer Roberta Armani at the closing ceremony and she wore a peacock dress from Armani‘s latest couture collection.

Also in attendance at the closing ceremony were fellow jury member Matt Dillon and his girlfriend Roberta Mastromichele, as well as Diego Boneta.
