The Golden Globe winner was honored with Best Female Performance for her role in Fox’s 9-1-1.
Angela Bassett was joined at the event by This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown and his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathe, Ryan Murphy, and director and cast of When They See Us – Ava DuVernay, Aunjanue Ellis, Asante Blackk, Niecy Nash, Jharrel Jerome, Marsha Stephanie Blake, and writer Attica Locke.
Also in attendance was the cast of The Neighborhood Tichina Arnold, Marcel Spears, Max Greenfield, Cedric the Entertainer and Beth Behrs.
AAFCA TV Honors, a new awards fete celebrating outstanding achievement in television. The Neighborhood won Best Comedy, Sterling took home Best Performance Male, Ryan received AAFCA TV Honors ICON Award and When They See Us won Best Limited Series, Best Ensemble and Best Writing.
