Chris, 44, and Gavin, 55, chatted as they headed to a restaurant for lunch on Sunday afternoon (May 30) in Malibu, Calif.

Chris tried to keep a low profile under a black baseball hat paired with an orange face mask as he hung out with his longtime friend.
The lunch outing comes a several days after Chris made a rare public appearance at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards, where he honored friend Elton John with the Icon Award.
In his tribute, Chris made a very cheeky and risque joke about Elton‘s sex life!

Chris Martin is making a rare public appearance to honor his longtime friend Elton John!
The 44-year-old Coldplay frontman attended the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday night (May 27) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to help present the 74-year-old entertainer with the Icon Award.
As he took to the mic, Chris joked that he got into a fist fight with the guy that runs the teleprompter, so everything he says might not be 100% accurate.
“I hope to goodness that he hasn’t messed with what I am about to say because I don’t really now anything about Elton John and I’m just going to read what iHeart wrote for me,” Chris started.
“Elton John was born in the USA. He and his collaborator Bernie Sanders worked and lived together in an apartment that his partner David furnished,” Chris jokingly said. “He tried to be an actor for a while, but that didn’t go so well. However it led to an incredible song ‘I’m Still A Stand In.’”
Later in his speech, Chris made a very risque joke about Elton and husband David Furnish!
“My favorite Elton songs are the romances, particularly the one he wrote for his husband’s parents – ‘Don’t Let Your Son Go Down On Me,’” Chris said as Elton and David erupted in laughter.

The 31-year-old Fifty Shades of Grey actress and the 44-year-old Coldplay singer made their way through the parking as they arrived at a restaurant for lunch on Saturday afternoon (April 24) in Malibu, Calif.

Dakota looked cool in a black tank shirt, ripped jeans, and a green beanie while Chris went barefoot while wearing a black T-shirt and grey sweatpants for their lunch outing.
