Queen Latifah is starring in a reboot of the classic series The Equalizer and it was just announced that CBS has ordered it straight-to-series!
In the new show, the Oscar-nominated actress plays “Robyn, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn.”
Chris Noth just joined the cast of the show. He will be playing, “William Bishop, a quirky ex-CIA director who was Robyn’s first handler and has a father-daughter relationship with her,” according to Deadline.
It’s being reported that Chris was originally approached for the role when the show was in the pilot phase, but he had a commitment at the time that would have prevented him from doing the show. Now, his schedule has freed up because of the pandemic and he’ll be able to do the series when productions start filming again.
