Claire Holt is giving fans a peek inside the delivery room from when she welcomed her second child into the world earlier this month!

The 32-year-old The Originals actress gave birth to daughter Elle on Saturday (September 12) and she did an Instagram Q&A nine days later while both of her kids were napping.

All of Claire‘s responses to questions included photos of her in the delivery room and there were some cute new photos of Elle as well.

One fan asked if it was harder giving birth the second time. Claire said, “It feels like it was, although I think I blocked out the first one so I’m not really sure. I had back labor both times and took forever to progress.”

Someone asked if she gave birth naturally and Claire responded, “I got the epidural. Labored for 19 hours and then needed the pain relief. It kinda messed up my leg but at least I didn’t feel the contractions after that. I think it helped me (and my pelvis) to relax so the baby could turn. Leg is fine now FYI.”

Claire also talked about having to wear a mask while giving birth, how this labor was longer than the first, how breastfeeding is rough for her, and more.

Claire Holt is officially a mom of two!

The 32-year-old former Vampire Diaries star announced she had welcomed her first daughter, named Elle, with husband Andrew Joblon.

“She’s here. Our sweet girl, Elle. After 27.5 hours of labor, she flew into the world and expanded our hearts,” Claire wrote on Instagram on Sunday (September 13).

She added, We are so grateful for our healthy baby and cannot wait for her to meet her big brother.”

Claire and Andrew are also parents to James, born in March 2019.

Claire revealed she was expecting her second child earlier this year, just after the start of lockdowns amid the pandemic, and revealed the gender shortly afterwards.

Just recently, Claire put her bare baby bump on display in a Instagram post.

The 32-year-old The Originals actress took to her Instagram on Saturday (August 15) to share a photo of herself posing with her bare bump out, while asking fans for advice after birth.

“35 WEEKS. I’m excited to meet this little girl but I’m SO anxious about losing it again,” Claire wrote. “The recovery, sleep deprivation, feedings, 2 kids 17 months apart, a pandemic… It’s a lot. I know how lucky I am and I know each stage is temporary, but I’m still feeling stressed about how I’ll cope mentally. I think it’s important to share that I have always had help. I never want to pretend that I do it on my own (I am completely in awe of women who do). That being said, I still felt overwhelmed, embarrassed/guilty that I was struggling, and not at all like myself after I gave birth. Did anyone have a totally different postpartum experience the second time? Tips?”

Claire is expecting her second child with husband Andrew Joblon. They are already parents 16-month-old son James.

In a video posted to her Instagram account, the couple popped a balloon with the help of their young son, James Holt Joblon, and pink paper flew out.

Claire Holt has announced some great news – she is going to be a mom of two!

The 31-year-old The Originals actress took to Instagram on Friday (April 3) to reveal that she is pregnant with her second child.

Claire shared a cute photo of her with husband Andrew Joblon and their son James. She is cradling her baby bump in the pic!

“Grateful for this little ray of sunshine in an uncertain time ❤️,” Claire captioned the photo, which you can check out on her page.

Claire Holt and Jessica Szohr were bright and colorful dresses while hosting the Alice and Olivia Shopping Event Benefitting St. Jude on Wednesday afternoon (September 25) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Held at the Alice + Olivia Boutique, the two longtime friends gave back to the medical network alongside 13 Reasons Why star Anne Winters, Nathalia Ramos and many other guests.
