Netflix Renews Both 'Virgin River' & 'Locke & Key' for Third Seasons!

We have some great news for Netflix fans!

The popular shows Virgin River and Locke & Key have both been renewed for third seasons.

Virgin River, which recently premiered its second season and went to number one on the U.S. charts, will get a 10-episode third season. The show follows a nurse practitioner (Alexandra Breckinridge) who moves to the remote California town of Virgin River while in search of a fresh start. A big moment happened between her character and love interest Jack Sheridan, played by Martin Henderson, in season two.

The second season of Locke & Key hasn’t even premiered yet, but Netflix has such big confidence in the series that it already has been given a season three order. Production on the second season will wrap this week and the new episodes will premiere in 2021. The third season will film in early 2021.

“I’m incredibly grateful to have found a home at Netflix where I feel constantly supported, challenged and inspired,” series executive producer and co-showrunner Meredith Averill said in a statement after signing an overall deal with the streamer. “I look forward to continuing and expanding our relationship.”

Connor Jessup Decided to Come Out After Falling in Love with Miles Heizer!

Locke & Key actor Connor Jessup came out as gay last year and now he’s revealing what helped him decide to be open about his sexuality.

Connor said in a new interview with Attitude that he has been dating 13 Reasons Why actor Miles Heizer for “about 18 months” and their relationship gave him the courage to come out.

“One of the sparks at the beginning of the fuse [for coming out], was that I fell in love. When you’re happy, you want to be happy publicly, and it made me think about the whole construction of my life in a way that I had been avoiding,” Connor said in the interview. “I probably wouldn’t have [come out] if that hadn’t happened.”

Connor said that before his relationship with Miles, he never looked for love.

“The excuse was always that I was busy working and there was never the time to meet people — that’s all true to an extent, but also I think I was afraid,” he said. “There’s still this phenomenon where you can be out like I was, but in my day-to-day life, I wasn’t doing anything that would make people think I was gay. I wasn’t in a relationship and I wasn’t looking to be because I was ignoring that part of me. I put myself on pause for a while.”

“So, I had relationships, but nothing like the one I’m in right now,” he added. “This is my first time being in love.”

Locke & Key's Connor Jessup Says He Felt 'Dishonest' & 'Uncomfortable' Before Coming Out As Gay

Connor Jessup is opening up about coming out as gay with The Face magazine.

The Locke & Key star revealed that felt “dishonest” and “uncomfortable” before his post revealing his sexuality.

“I felt like I was limiting and censoring and editing my own behavior,” Connor adds. “The reasons why [I hid it] became hazier and hazier as time went on. It didn’t make any sense to me anymore. So there are a lot of factors that led to me deciding to say something.”

He continues, “I felt embarrassed, not embarrassed about being gay, of course, but embarrassed about saying anything, the idea of making a post drawing attention to myself and the presumption that people would care what I had to say. And so I was like, I’ll just keep it to myself. But eventually, all of those excuses weren’t enough anymore.”

Connor also chatted if he felt more responsibility to share more about his sexuality, and admitted that it was hard for him to say.

“I’m aware, of course, that it’s still pretty rare for actors to be openly gay,” he says. “I’m not blind to the fact that maybe somewhere, someone who’s going through some version of what I went through when I was that age might see the show and read what I wrote or hear about it, and it might mean something.”
