Lea Michele is remembering late boyfriend Cory Monteith on the 8th anniversary of his death.
On Tuesday (July 13), the 34-year-old Glee actress took to her Instagram Story to share a touching tribute to Cory, who died at the age of 31 back in 2013.

Amber Riley has written another touching tribute for her late Glee co-star Naya Rivera, who drowned in California’s Lake Piru after heroically saving her son’s life.
In the tribute that Amber posted to Instagram on Thursday (July 23), she said she says both Naya and their late co-star Cory Monteith‘s names every day to honor their lives.
“I’m so mad the world will never see how high you could have soared. Her brain was brilliant. She was smart and as quick as a whip. Always had me in stitches, we would be in tears laughing so hard at one another,” Amber said. “There was never competition, or shade, or intimidation with us. Just pure adoration and mutual respect. You deserved better. You were so much more than just this show. Your talent outshined us all so many times!”
“Favorite Naya Moment: tour bus to London, Naya greasing her scalp with Doo Gro oil, a plastic cap and a silk bonnet 😂 my sister said ‘oh Naya you blackity black black’ we burst out into laughter! We needed it too because we just wanted to get home to our families. We were alike in that way. We love hard, and protect our own, and we don’t take no shit from anyone (Kevin is literally the byproduct of US 😂) We can either slice you with our words, or bring you comfort with that same breath. Dealer’s choice. I say your name everyday and hold you in my heart, just like I do Cory,” she continued.

Cory Monteith‘s mom Ann McGregor has posted a tribute to Naya Rivera on her Cory‘s law Instagram page – which she set up to honor her son in 2015.
If you don’t know, Naya‘s body was recovered from Lake Piru after a search was underway for five days. Naya was found on Monday (July 13), which was the seven-year anniversary of Cory‘s tragic death.
“For the last 7 years the 13th of July has shattered our hearts beyond repair. There aren’t enough words to describe the pain we are feeling, we are truly heartbroken at the loss of @nayarivera,” Ann wrote. “Naya, Cory loved you so so much. He cherished your friendship more than you will ever know. From the laughs you shared, to the strength you gave him when he needed it the most. Cory truly adored you. He was in awe of your incredible talent, the way you gave everything you had to each performance; the slap in the auditorium was one of his favourite stories to share. You once said Cory was like a member of your family; you will always be a part of ours. We’ll carry you in our hearts forever. We miss you. Friends reunited for eternity.”
“We send all our love and strength to your beautiful boy, your family, friends and fans 💔🐻💔,” she concluded.
Lea Michele also paid tribute to both Cory and Naya on Monday.
Naya Rivera‘s body was discovered on the seventh anniversary of Cory Monteith‘s death and their co-star Kevin McHale believes he helped find her.
The 32-year-old actor took to Twitter on Monday night (July 13) to share his thoughts.
“I’m not religious by any means, but you’d be hard-pressed to convince me that Cory didn’t help find our girl today. These 2, in many ways, were the male and female versions of one another. So nice, cared deeply, were stupidly talented, the most fun, and really really good people,” Kevin wrote.
Kevin quote-tweeted a tweet that a fan wrote that included a video of Naya and Cory greeting fans after one of the live Glee concerts.
Earlier in the day, Kevin wrote a beautiful tribute for Naya in which he talked about the plans they had made just last week.

Lea Michele is mourning the loss of two people she worked with on Glee – Naya Rivera and her on-and-off-screen boyfriend Cory Monteith.
Naya was confirmed dead at the age of 33 on Monday (July 13), which happens to be the seven-year anniversary of the day that Cory passed away at the age of 31.
Lea took to her Instagram Stories that day to share three images. The first showed Cory holding a bouquet of flowers while standing on a bridge in Central Park, presumably from when Glee filmed there in 2011.
The second photo was a solo image of Naya and the third photo showed Lea, Naya, and others sitting on a bench on a pier overlooking the beach.
Lea didn’t include any message with the images, but it’s clear that she is going through a tough time right now alongside the rest of the cast of Glee.
Several members of the cast of Glee gathered at Lake Piru on Monday to pay vigil for Naya.
It’s been seven years since the tragic passing of Cory Monteith and fans are remembering the late star on social media with touching tributes.
The former Glee star passed away in 2013 in Vancouver, following his struggles with drug addiction.
Following his death, Cory‘s Glee co-stars, family and friends have been remembering the star with tributes every year.
Lea Michele, who he was dating at the time of his death, shared an emotional post just last year on the anniversary of his passing.
Many fans are also using the trend to spread awareness and more prayers to the search for Naya Rivera, who went missing last week after a swimming trip with her son. As of the time of this posting, a body has been found at the lake where she went missing. It’s unconfirmed if it is her.

Lea Michele is the first guest on her Glee co-stars Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz‘s new podcast, in which they will be recapping old episodes of their fan favorite series.
The 33-year-old actress joined her friends to talk about the pilot, which she rewatched right before recording the podcast.
Lea dated co-star Cory Monteith for several years, right up until he unexpectedly died in 2013 from an accidental overdose. She opened up about how one of his scenes made her emotional during this rewatch, even though it never did in the past.
“The moments that made me so emotional were not anything that ever has made me emotional before about the show. One of them was when [Cory] took [Kevin] out of that port-a-potty. There were so many moments that you see the whole arc of a character for a whole season in one moment. Him taking [Kevin] out of that bathroom, and you see Finn’s heart. Oh my God,” Lea said.
Kevin also said that the scene was one his “most memorable parts” of filming the pilot.
