This is the Emmy-winning actress’ first public event since announcing that she is running for Governor of New York.

En route to the event, where she talked about fixing the NYC Subway system, Cynthia got delayed due to a train that went out of service.

“That thing when you’re headed to talk about fixing the subways and your train goes out of service. #CuomosMTA,” political consultant Rebecca Katz tweeted.

Cynthia told the crowd, “I got here just in the nick of time. I allowed an hour and a half for what should have been a 30 minute ride.”

Cynthia Nixon has the support of one of her Sex and the City co-stars in her run for Governor!

Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte alongside Cynthia‘s Miranda throughout the show’s run, is supporting her friend.

“I am so proud of @CynthiaNixon , no one cares more than she does about EVERY person getting a fair change and a good education. I know that she would be an excellent Governor!,” Kristin tweeted out after Cynthia announced the news that she would be running for Governor of New York.

Cynthia Nixon has officially unveiled her candidacy for Governor of New York.

After rumors began swirling that the 51-year-old Sex and the City actress was going to run for office, she confirmed the news on her Twitter account.

“Cynthia Nixon is a lifelong New Yorker and progressive activist who is running for governor to fight for a better, more equal New York,” her candidacy page reads. “Cynthia hasn’t been bought and paid for by special interests and won’t be accepting any corporate contributions in this campaign. Instead our campaign will be powered by the people.”

Cynthia posted a photo of her reuniting with her Sex and the City co-star on Instagram hours ago. Fans think it’s a definite sign that Cynthia is firmly in Sarah Jessica‘s corner when it comes to her feud with Kim Cattrall.

If you don’t know, months ago, Kim said that she was never friends with her co-stars and the relationships felt “toxic.” Then, earlier this month, Kim‘s brother suddenly passed away and Sarah Jessica wrote a comment on Kim‘s Instagram post, expressing her condolences and seemingly, mending their broken relationship.

Later on, Kim suddenly lashed out at SJP for “exploiting” her family’s tragedy. Kim then thanked Cynthia for her kind words about her brother.

Kim Cattrall responded to Cynthia Nixon in a very different way than she responded to Sarah Jessica Parker.

Earlier this month, Kim‘s brother suddenly passed away and two of her former Sex and the City co-stars, Cynthia and Sarah Jessica wrote comments on Kim‘s Instagram post, expressing condolences.

“Hey Kim, such awful news. So sorry to hear. Sending you love. XO,” Cynthia wrote. Sarah Jessica posted, “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx.”

Later, Kim thanked Sarah Jessica and Cynthia publicly for their kind words, but then suddenly, Kim lashed out at SJP for “exploiting” her family’s tragedy.

According to Us Weekly, Kim wrote in response to Cynthia‘s comment, “Cynthia, hearing your voice meant so much to me. Thank you for reading out. Love Kim.” It appears as of right now, Kim has decided to prohibit commenting on her Instagram posts, so we cannot verify that Kim left the comment at this time.

Kim Cattrall is speaking out to publicly thank her Sex and the City co-stars for voicing their support after her brother tragically died this past weekend.

Despite Kim‘s recent comments about her former co-stars that left Sarah Jessica Parker “heartbroken,” both SJP and Cynthia Nixon left comments on Kim‘s Instagram to send their condolences.

“Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx,” Sarah wrote. Cynthia said, “Hey Kim such awful news. So sorry to hear. Sending you love. XO.”

In a new Twitter post, Kim said, “I would like to thank my fans, friends, and my #SexandtheCity colleagues for the outpouring of support for myself and family over the last 72 hours.”

Sarah Jessica Parker is sending her condolences to her former Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall after the sudden death of her brother at age 55.

After posting about her brother’s death, SJP took to Instagram and wrote in the comments of Kim‘s post, “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx.”

Cynthia Nixon, another of Kim‘s SATC co-stars, also commented, writing, “Hey Kim such awful news. So sorry to hear. Sending you love. XO.”
