Katharine McPhee and David Foster have announced that they are going live on Instagram every day to perform shows for fans who are also stuck at home.

The married couple were supposed to be on tour right now, though they postponed the first month of the tour due to David‘s recent medical procedure. The remainder of the tour was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“hi guys- just me here wearing the same sweater for 3 days. me & the hus @davidfoster had so much fun at the piano today going live,” Kat wrote on her Instagram account. “we wanna try and do it everyday at 5:30 PT cuz what else is there to do?”

“Thanks @erinfoster for the great idea. see ya all tomorrow? ❤️ ps- it’s crazy how many Grammys I have no?” she added.

David wrote on his page, “was so fun today to go live with my wife-I’m the worlds worst piano accompanist for other people’s songs but Kat is so amazing that she pulls me thru-we are going to try to do it every day-for our own entertainment and hopefully for all of you too-any suggestions are welcome-we were def rookies today and i sucked!! But fun !!! We will try to go live at 5:30pm west coast time every day!!”

David Foster has announced that he is rescheduling all of the dates on his upcoming spring tour with wife Katharine McPhee.

The 70-year-old music producer and songwriter previously rescheduled all of his March concert dates due to a medical procedure he recently had. Now with the coronavirus outbreak, he has decided to postpone the rest of the tour as well.

“We have all been closely following the recommendations around COVID-19 and today we collectively made the tough, but we think wise decision, to reschedule our spring tour. The health and safety of the communities involved is top priority and based on the information from the CDC and the local governments in our touring cities, we feel this is the best decision,” David wrote on Instagram.

“I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause some of you and hope to make it up to you at the rescheduled dates, which will be announced soon. Tickets purchased for this tour will be honored at the new dates and inquiries regarding refunds can be directed to the box office where tickets were purchased,” he added. “I think I can easily say that no one is more disappointed than myself and the great performers that were to join me on stage each night. We hope you all stay safe and healthy and that we see you in the near future.”

The tour was going to resume in mid-April and was supposed to run until mid-May.

David Foster is recovering from an unexpected medical procedure and his March tour dates with wife Katharine McPhee have been postponed to 2021.

The 70-year-old music producer and entertainer took to Instagram on Friday morning (March 6) to announce the news and he says he hopes to reschedule the dates.

“It is with great sadness that I have to reschedule my March tour dates due to an unexpected medical procedure. I’m well on the road to recovery but my doctors insist that I spend the next several weeks recovering,” David wrote in the message. “I love touring and performing so this is not an easy decision. However, we will do our best to reschedule the dates. My tour will resume in Waterbury, CT on April 17th and I look forward to seeing you then.”

Katharine is performing on select dates of the tour while also working on her upcoming Netflix series Country Comfort.

The 35-year-old actress and singer documented some of the evening on Instagram Stories and she joked that David found a new wife at the event.

“Wow… hot new couple alert! (wanted to break the news first),” Kat captioned a photo of David with Katie Couric while inside the dinner party.

Katie was at the annual party with her husband John Molner.

Kat is currently working on her upcoming comedy series for Netflix. The series, Country Comfort, is a multi-cam comedy that stars Kat as an aspiring country singer who starts working as the nanny for a rugged cowboy’s five children.

“Tonight we wrap up the California leg of @officialdfoster’s #HitManTour. Excited to get back to it in March!” she wrote on Twitter. “Here are the only dates I’ll be joining David on tour next. See you all out there!”
