Ben Hardy is ready to romance Haley Lu Richardson in The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.

THR revealed that the 30-year-old actor will star as Oliver in the flick, opposite Haley as Hadley.

Based on the novel from Jennifer E. Smith, it centers on the lead couple who who begin to fall for each other on their flight from New York to London.

But, “is it misfortune or fate that separates them when they land? The probability of ever finding each other again seems impossible, but love — and London — may have a way of defying the odds.”

Ben isn’t the only actor who has joined the project that is currently filming in London, which will be written by Katie Lovejoy and directed by Vanessa Caswill.

Joaquin Phoenix suits up while attending the 2020 EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party on Saturday (February 1) at Kensington Palace in London, England.

Taron Egerton was at the event alongside his longtime girlfriend Emily Thomas. They are both nominated for Best Actor for their work in Joker and Rocketman, respectively.

Also in attendance at the event were Joaquin‘s Joker co-stars Zazie Beetz (with boyfriend David Rysdahl) and Robert De Niro, who is nominated for Best Picture for producing The Irishman.

More stars at the party included The Two Popes‘ Best Actor nominee Jonathan Pryce, 1917‘s Dean-Charles Chapman and George Mackay, plus Andy Serkis and Aisling Bea.

Taron‘s Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher, who is nominated for Best British Film, was there to represent the film with him.

Taron Egerton and Elton John are repping Rocketman at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards!

The 30-year-old actor, who plays the 72-year-old singer in the film, stepped out for the event held on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Taron was joined by his girlfriend Emily Thomas, and Elton by his husband David Furnish. Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher was also in attendance.

Taron is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his work in the film. Elton and Bernie Taupin are also up for Best Original Song for “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again.”

Taron Egerton is opening up about what kinds of changes he made to his character, Elton John, in Rocketman.

The 30-year-old Robin Hood actor spoke on stage at an Evening Honoring Rocketman at the California Film Institute on Wednesday (December 4) in San Rafael, Calif.

He was joined by Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher and moderator Zoe Elton.

“Once you are existing in a world of fantasy, you’re no longer trying to claim that it is set in the exact same universe that Elton occupied,” Taron told TheWrap in a new interview. “So I can tailor the character to fit our purposes.”

“Of course, you never want to go too far away from it, because we’re here to celebrate Elton,” he added. “But you know, the fact of the matter is that Elton and I don’t look alike. We trust in the fact that people willfully suspend their disbelief in storytelling, and I just wanted to capture the showman in him, the anger in him, the pain and vulnerability, and trust that when it’s all put together, it will feel like Elton John.”

The 30-year-old actor and director Dexter Fletcher buddied up for the Dolby Cinema Reception in Honor of Rocketman on Tuesday (December 3) at the Dolby Laboratories in San Francisco, Calif.

Taron Egerton is opening up about his drag name!

The 30-year-old actor stopped by SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show with Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher for an interview on Tuesday (December 3).

During the interview, Taron discussed how when he and girlfriend Emily Thomas vacationed with Elton John, the 72-year-old entertainer gave Taron the drag name Blodwyn Campervan.

“I have a camper van — like a VW [RV] — that I spend a lot of time in,” Taron revealed about the inspiration behind his drag name. “He finds that very funny, for some reason. So my name is ‘Blodwyn’ — which is a Welsh name — ‘Blodwyn Campervan.’”

Taron added, “Actually, that night, after he’d gone to bed, I stole his Polaroid camera and wore some of my girlfriend’s clothes and did a little photoshoot and left it there in the kitchen for them for after we’d left of me dressed as my vision of Blodwyn Campervan.”
