Josh Brolin is addressing his 2004 arrest for domestic violence.

The 50-year-old Avengers actor addressed the incident in an interview with The New York Times published on Wednesday (June 20).

“God, I’ve never been so careful with my words. Ever. Maybe in all 50 years. And there’s no reason for me to be other than there’s no explaining it. Do you know what I mean? The only person who can explain that would be Diane [Lane], and she’s chosen not to, so I’m O.K. with that,” he said.

Josh was arrested in 2004 in the home that he shared with Diane, who claimed the actor hit her at the time. He was charged with spousal battery and released after posting bail for $20,000. They remained married before filing for divorce in 2013.

“I was more reactive, I was more, ‘People need to know the truth.’ Whatever I say [now] is going to sound like compensation for a perpetrator. I’ve gotten to a place where all that matters is that I have control over my behavior, and at that time, it was a little more chaotic.”

Diane declined to comment when contacted about the story.

The first trailer for the upcoming thriller Serenity has arrived and it features a star-studded cast including Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway!

She begs Dill to save her – and their young son – from her new, violent husband (Clarke) by taking him out to sea on a fishing excursion, only to throw him to the sharks and leave him for dead. Karen’s appearance thrusts Dill back into a life he’d tried to forget, and as he struggles between right and wrong, his world is plunged into a new reality that may not be all that it seems.

The final season of House of Cards is beginning production again, and two new stars have been added to the show after Kevin Spacey‘s exit amid his sexual misconduct allegations.

Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear are joining the show, and they will play siblings, THR reports. No real plot or character details have been revealed just yet.

The final season of the show will now center on Robin Wright‘s Claire Underwood, who played the wife to Spacey‘s character.

Also expected in the final season are Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, and more.
