Disney+ Adds Amer Chadha-Patel In Fourth Lead Role in 'Willow' Series

Disney+ has added a brand new cast member to the upcoming series, Willow.

Deadline reports that Amer Chadha-Patel has joined the series as a character named Boorman, who is described as a thief and liar who joins the quest in exchange for getting out of prison.

Amer will star alongside Ellie Bamber, Ruby Cruz and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Erin Kellyman in the series based on the 1988 film.

Ruby took over the role that was set to star Cailee Spaeny.

Original movie star Warwick Davis will also be part of the show.

Willow, the series, is expected to take place years after the events of the original film, and introduces all-new characters to the enchanted realm of fairy queens and two-headed Eborsisk monsters.

Maya Erskine Joins the Cast of Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi Series!

Maya Erskine is taking on an incredible new role.

The 33-year-old PEN15 actress is set to star in Disney+‘s forthcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Deadline reported Thursday (April 22).

The Emmy nominated-star will reportedly appear in at least three episodes in the series in a supporting role, although specific details regarding her character have not yet been unveiled.

Every Show Cancelled By Disney+ (So Far)

Disney+ is a relatively new streaming service having only been around since late 2019.

Because the streamer launched not too long ago, they’ve only had a handful of original television shows debut on the service.

David Beckham To Star & Produce Disney+ Series 'Save Our Squad'

David Beckham is headed to Disney+!

The 45-year-old athlete will star in Save Our Squad, which will see David return to the pitch and mentor a group of kids playing for a struggling Sunday League.

“I played grassroots football and I was on a Sunday League team at 7 years old,” he recalled during a keynote interview at MipTV, via Variety.

He added that this “show is about giving back and giving these young kids the opportunity to work with me and to listen to my experiences from when I was their age.”

Sean Doyle, Disney+’s director of unscripted in EMEA, added: “The series will be exciting, dramatic, uplifting and full of heart and courage – everything David had in his own playing days.”

Save Our Squad will be produced by Warner Bros-backed Twenty Twenty and David‘s own, Studio 99.

David has previously played for Real Madrid, Manchester United and the LA Galaxy. He also just launched a brand new team!
