The late King of Pop requested to be a part of 1996′s Hunchback of Notre Dame, it was just revealed by composter Alan Menken in an oral history of the film.

Rachel Zegler has landed a major Disney role!
The 20-year-old actress – who will be seen in December’s release West Side Story in the main role of Maria – has just landed the role of Snow White in the live action adaptation of the classic Disney film.
“Rachel’s extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts. Her strength, intelligence and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale,” director Marc Webb said in a statement to Deadline. Production will reportedly start next year.
Rachel herself reacted to the news on her Instagram account, writing, “well… hello to a dream come true.”

Grey’s Anatomy actor Giacomo Gianniotti looks so handsome while walking the blue carpet at the premiere of his new animated movie Luca on Thursday (June 17) at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
The new Disney and Pixar movie is going to stream exclusively on Disney+ starting on Friday (June 18) and fans in the L.A. area can see it on the big screen at the El Capitan for the next week.
Giacomo appropriately plays a character named Giacomo in the movie. Also in attendance at the premiere were voice actors Emma Berman (Giulia) and Marco Barricelli (Massimo), as well as director Enrico Casarosa and producer Andrea Warren.
Luca is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface. The lead character is voiced by Jacob Tremblay.

Disney+ is celebrating Pride!
The company’s first-ever virtual variety show, This is Me: Pride Celebration Spectacular will debut on the Disney+ YouTube and Facebook on Sunday (June 27) at 8 p.m. ET.
The concert will feature “one-of-a-kind musical performances of songs from the iconic movies and series available to stream on Disney+, reinterpreted through a LGBTQ+ lens.”
The concert will raise awareness for GLSEN, a nonprofit that The Walt Disney Company supports, that works to ensure LGBTQ+ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment.

The Beauty and the Beast prequel series is officially coming!
The live-action musical series, which is set to star Luke Evans and Josh Gad reprising their roles from the 2017 movie as Gaston and LeFou, has been ordered to series at Disney Plus, Variety reported Tuesday (June 15).
