Doja Cat is taking us to another planet!

The 24-year-old singer took to the stage for a performance at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which aired on Sunday (August 30).

Before performing, Doja looked like a girl straight out of the early 2000s, wearing a gothic all-black look while giving a fake MTV news segment.

Doja and her group of dancers then took viewers to a different planet, where she danced around while dressed like an alien, wearing a colorful, scaly catsuit that changed colors.

Doja first started by performing her hit song “Say So” before singing “Like That.”

Shortly after her performance, Doja won the award for PUSH Best New Artist!

Doja Cat sizzles in a red hot dress at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which aired on Sunday (August 30).

The 24-year-old singer is nominated for a ton of awards at the show tonight, including Song of the Year for “Say So” and Push Best New Artist.

Doja was also nominated for Song of Summer, but lost to BLACKPINK‘s “How You Like That”.

Doja Cat is speaking out after being mentioned on Nas‘ new single “Ultra Black.”

The rapper name-dropped Doja Cat on the new track and it wasn’t to praise the rising star. The lyrics said, “We goin’ ultra Black, unapologetically Black / The opposite of Doja Cat, Michael Blackson Black.”

Doja took to her TikTok page on Friday night (August 14) to respond to the diss.

In the video, the new song was heard in the background while Doja said in a sarcastic tone, “I’m so offended and upset by this song. Have you guys heard ‘Fruit Salad’ by The Wiggles.”

Earlier this year, Doja caused controversy when she said that coronavirus was just a “flu” and she wasn’t scared about getting it… and then she did get it.

Nas is coming for Doja Cat!

The hip-hop superstar threw a direct diss the way of the “Say So” superstar in his latest song “Ultra Black,” released Friday (August 14).

If you didn’t know, Doja‘s been caught in controversy regarding racist commentary in the past in recent months.

Nas took a direct shot at the controversy in the song: “Sometimes I’m over-black, even my clothes are black / Cash Money with the white tee and the soldier rag / We goin’ ultra black, unapologetically black / The opposite of Doja Cat, Michael Blackson black,” he declares in the track.

James Charles and Doja Cat are teaming up!

The 21-year-old YouTube superstar and the 24-year-old “Say So” entertainer teamed up for a new video on Tuesday (August 11).

“HI SISTERS! Today’s video is a collaboration with the legendary Doja Cat! I give her a full makeup transformation while we talk about her hit songs, TikTok, our first time meeting and more!” James announced along with the video.

James Charles apologized to this star recently for a subtweet.

“I am like your number one biggest fan. This is the collab I’ve been wanting to happen so badly and we’ve been trying to make it happen for quite a while now,” James gushed to Doja. The two explained that they first met at Coachella.

Doja Cat has officially released her song “Freak” and you can listen to it here!

Longtime fans of the 24-year-old rapper will be familiar with the song as it previously was released on SoundCloud in November 2018.

“Here’s a special treat! FREAK will be available on all streaming services tomorrow to hold you guys off while I’m working on new surprise,” Doja Cat announced on Thursday (August 6).

Doja Cat is one of the first performers who were announced to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month. The show is reportedly happening live in New York City, but details on how that will happen have not yet been revealed.

Doja Cat is on the mend.

The 24-year-old “Say So” superstar, who revealed that she contracted the novel coronavirus months after she said the virus was just a “flu” and that she wasn’t afraid of getting it, revealed to fans on Wednesday morning (July 29) that she has recovered from the illness.

When asked if she still had coronavirus, she said “not anymore” on Twitter.

Regarding her symptoms, she said: “I couldn’t taste bacon and my legs hurt,” but as far as respiratory issues, she said she did not have any.

She did confirm that she had a fever: “For 2 days yea,” she explained.

She was also asked if she was scared of it, and said: “Never was. Thats why I got it in the first place.”

Last month, Doja made headlines after being accused of making some racist comments.
