Danielle Bregoli aka Bhad Bhabie is speaking out about her traumatizing experience at the Utah ranch where Dr. Phil sends teens.
The 18-year-old viral star posted a video on Friday (March 19) that detailed the physical and mental abuse she suffered during her stay at the facility.
Danielle expressed her support for Hannah Archuleta, another former resident at Turn-About Ranch who is currently suing the facility for negligence after she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a staff member in 2019. She is being represented by the well-known lawyer Gloria Allred.
Danielle also demanded that Dr. Phil issue an apology, “not only to me but to Hannah and any other child that you sent to Turn-About or any other program like this.”
She described being taken to the ranch “in the middle of the night” and compared the experience of being handcuffed and put in a car to kidnapping.
She said that at the ranch “they take away necessity privileges, like sleeping on a bed, eating good food, not being cold” and that she witnessed other residents being forcefully restrained. Punishments included being subjected to cold, being forced to stay awake and menial labor.
“You’re not even feeding them or letting them sleep in decent conditions. Just doing things that no one would ever want done to their child, and doing it to kids that are so helpless,” Danielle said. “That’s the thing about these places. You have no evidence. You don’t have a phone there. There’s no cameras there. There’s no evidence.”
Danielle released her video under the hashtag “Breaking Code Silence,” which is a movement designed to raise awareness about institutional child abuse and exploitation in the Troubled Teen Industry.
Paris Hilton previously documented her experience at a similar facility in Utah. She later testified about the abusive behavior she underwent while staying there.
Danielle entered a treatment program for prescription pills and trauma in June 2020.
