Most Controversial & Banned Music Videos of All Time

The music icons of our day love to push boundaries and challenge the public – with their sound, their style, and of course, their controversial music videos.

Some of our favorite pop entertainers, rappers and rock stars have made music videos that have tested the limits of what is acceptable on network television – and, in some cases, they’ve even benefitted from the allure and added curiosity of having their music videos banned from networks.

From flashing ample amounts of skin, to violence and gore, to inciting outrage with controversial political views, to potentially even causing harm from flashing visual elements, there’ve been all different reasons why music videos from top stars were not allowed to see light of day. (And sometimes, the stars go on to regret their biggest hits.)

Charli XCX, Miguel & More Hit The Red Carpet At Q Awards 2015

Charli XCX and Miguel strike a pose on the red carpet while attending the 2015 Q Awards held at the Sanctum Hotel on Monday (August 19) in London, England.

The two singers were joined by their fellow musicians Jess Glynne, La Roux, Mark Ronson, Ella Eyre, Foxes, James Bay, Duran Duran, Corinne Bailey Rae, and the boys of Years & Years at the event held in association with Absolute Radio.

Mark took home the Q Hero Award, Duran Duran scored the Q Icon Award, and James won the Q Best New Act Award, presented by Orange Amplification.

Jaime King & Kate Upton Bring The Class To NYFW At Michael Kors Fragrance Launch!

Jaime King, Kate Upton and Alessandra Ambrosio strike a pose while arriving at the Michael Kors Gold Collection Fragrance Launch during New York Fashion Week held at the Top of The Standard Hotel on Sunday (September 13) in New York City.

The three ladies were joined at the event by Naomi Campbell, Tao Okamoto, Chiara Ferragni, Constance Jablonski, performers Duran Duran and host, designer Michael Kors.
