Dwayne Johnson Grabs Dinner With Wife Lauren Hashian After 'DC League of Super-Pets' Cast Reveal

Dwayne Johnson masks up as he heads back to a waiting car after dinner out in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (June 8).

The 49-year-old actor stepped out with wife Lauren Hashian for a dinner date at Mastro’s Steakhouse.

Just before hopping into the car, Dwayne shared some pleasantries with the valet and even took a picture with him.

Hours before, Dwayne revealed more of all-star voice cast list for the DC League of Super-Pets, which he’ll star in as Krypto.

Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, John Krasinski, Diego Luna and Natasha Lyonne will all join him in the movie.

Dwayne Johnson to Produce Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Led Thriller 'Emergency Contact'

Dwayne Johnson and his longtime collaborator Beau Flynn are teaming up to produce Yahya Abdul-Mateen II‘s upcoming action-thriller Emergency Contact.

According to THR, Warner Bros. has picked up the film, which is “described as being a high-concept, high-octane action film set in the underground music scene of Austin, Texas.”

Fans will recognize Yahya from his roles in Watchman, The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Greatest Showman and Us. Yahya is also set to act as an executive producer on Emergency Contact.

The movie will bring together many of the key players from Black Adam, the upcoming DC movie which stars Dwayne as the title character and is produced by Dwayne and Buck‘s respective production companies.

Dwayne Johnson to Voice Krypto the Superdog in 'DC League of Super-Pets’

Dwayne Johnson is taking on a new role!

The 49-year-old actor has joined the cast of Warner Bros. animated feature DC League of Super-Pets, per Deadline.

Dwayne is set to play Krypto the Superdog in the film, which will premiere in theaters in May 2022. His production company Seven Bucks has also signed on to produce the movie.

This is the actor’s second upcoming project with DC. He’s also starring in the action movie Black Adam, which is expected to premiere in theaters on July 29, 2022.

DC League of Super-Pets will be the first-ever feature to star Superman’s canine companion. Krypto first appeared in the 1955’s Adventure Comics No. 210 and went on to team up with some other super pets, including Aquaman’s pet octopus, Topo, and Ace the Bat-Hound.

'Jungle Cruise' to Debut in Theaters & Disney+ for a Fee

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed that Jungle Cruise is officially headed to theaters, and will also debut simultaneously on Disney+ for an extra fee under their “Premiere Access” for an additional $29.99.

The Rock announced the news on his Instagram account.

'Young Rock' & 'Kenan' Renewed for Second Seasons at NBC

Young Rock and Kenan are getting second seasons!

Deadline reports that Dwayne Johnson and Kenan Thompson‘s respective shows have been renewed by NBC.

NBC has said Young Rock, which centers on different chapters of Dwayne‘s life, is the No. 2 comedy of the season in the 18-49 demographic and that the pilot was watched by 13.4 viewers. They added that the show is the highest comedy debut across digital platforms on record through 60 days with 3.6 million digital views.

The network also announced that Kenan ranks as its No. 4 digital comedy launch thus far, with the first episode being seen by over 7.4 million viewers.

In the series, Kenan plays a widowed father who’s attempting to balance a high-profile job with raising his two daughters.

Lisa Katz, President of Scripted Programming at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said in a statement, “It has been a true joy to watch Dwayne Johnson and Kenan Thompson on NBC every week and see families connect with their relatable, entertaining and heartwarming stories.”

“We’re thrilled to renew both of these shows for another season and can’t wait to see more from Dwayne, Kenan and the incredibly talented casts and producing teams behind each of them,” she continued.
