Cruella's New Trailer Is Going to Get You So Excited For Emma Stone's Movie - Watch Now!

There is a brand new trailer for Emma Stone‘s Cruella and we’re getting so excited to see the live action movie come to life in just a few weeks!

Here’s a synopsis: The movie is an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. “Cruella,” which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson. But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.

The film will be hitting theaters on May 28 and will also be available on Disney+ for an extra fee simultaneously.

Emma Stone Speaks to 'Cruella' & 'Joker' Comparisons

After the Cruella trailer was released a few weeks ago, fans began comparing the film to Joaquin Phoenix‘s Joker.

“It’s very different from Joker in many ways,” Emma, who stars as the title character in the movie, told Total Film. “I would never even remotely compare myself to Joaquin Phoenix. I wish I was more like him.”

Cruella‘s director, Craig Gillespie, also spoke to the comparisons, saying, “There are some really deep, emotional things that Cruella’s dealing with that send her to the villainous darker side. So in that sense, it is [similar]. But it’s definitely its own thing. Just to sort of reframe Cruella, I thought it was important to show this darker side of her. But there’s going to be a lot of fun, a lot of humor in it. There’s a lot of absolutely delightful banter and rhythm to the style of it, which is different from Joker.”

Find out what fans had to say about the similarities between Joker and Cruella.

Cruella will premiere on May 28 and you’ll be able to stream it for a fee on Disney+.

Pixar’s next hit, Luca, will also debut on Disney+ exclusively for no extra fee on June 18.

The following other films were delayed: Free Guy (August 13), The King’s Man (December 22), Deep Water (January 14, 2022) and Death on the Nile (Feb. 11, 2022) were all moved.
