'That Thing You Do!' Cast To Reunite & Raise Funds for MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund

The cast of That Thing You Do! is getting back together!

Tom Everett Scott revealed plans for the cast, which includes Steve Zahn, Ethan Embry, and Johnathon Schaech, will be reuniting for a livestream party this week.

“Calling all Oneders fans!! Join the band and special guests for a LIVE #ThatThingYouDo watch party in support of @MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund this Friday, April 17 at 7pmEsT/4pmPST on our YouTube channel,” Tom shared on his Twitter.

Tom did mention special guests would also join them – could that be Liv Tyler, or even the film’s director, Tom Hanks? We’ll have to wait and see.

The reunion comes after Tom Hanks recovered from coronavirus, and Adam Schlesinger, who wrote the That Thing You Do! theme song and earned Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for his work, died from the virus.

That Thing You Do! hit theaters in 1996.

Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin Celebrate Sixth Season of 'Grace And Frankie'

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin kill the red carpet together at a special screening of season 6 of their Netflix show, Grace and Frankie, on Wednesday night (January 15) in Los Angeles.

The two stars were joined by co-stars Sam Waterston, Peter Gallagher, Brooklyn Decker, June Diane Raphael, Ethan Embry, and Baron Vaughn, plus showrunners Howard J. Morris and Marta Kauffman.

“Life after Grace and Frankie is a big question that’s looming over me,” Jane shared with EW about the end of the series. “I try to understand Netflix’s thinking. I guess they have all kinds of algorithms that indicate when it’s time to say goodbye to something, but I don’t like it.”

Lily adds that she’ll also be sad when it’s over: “I feel pretty sad, pretty let down. We’re going to miss the show and working together terribly.”

Grace and Frankie‘s sixth season it out NOW on Netflix.

During their panel discussion, the cast talked about the possibility of having Jane and Lily‘s 9 to 5 co-star Dolly Parton make an appearance on the show.

Jane said to all depends on Dolly‘s “time and her schedule. She wants to, but she’s busy.”

Can't Hardly Wait's Ethan Embry Has Been Battling Opiate Addiction for Six Years

Ethan Embry, best known for starring in the teen movie Can’t Hardly Wait, has revealed his secret battle with opiate addiction for the past six years.

The 38-year-old actor, who is also appeared on The Walking Dead, spoke out against Attorney General Jeff Sessions‘ order for federal prosecutors to take the harshest possible action against drug offenders.

“I was stuck in a cycle of running through a subutex script and smoking tar for about two straight years. 6 years ago today I started my kick,” Ethan tweeted. “If you are strung out on opiates and want to stop-but the fear of the kick is keeping you from it- I won’t lie it f�”ing sucks.”

'That Thing You Do' Cast Reunites on Stage at The Roxy (Video)

Were you a big fan of the 1996 film That Thing You Do?!

Three of the movie’s stars – Johnathon Schaech, Ethan Embry, and Tom Everett Scott – reunited The Wonders for a little performance of the title song at The Roxy on Tuesday night (April 25) in Los Angeles.

“When we reunion, we reunion hard,” Ethan wrote on Twitter with a cute photo.

While other band member Steve Zahn wasn’t in attendance, someone did take it upon themselves to wear a cut-out of his face.

In case you didn’t see the film, which was written and directed by Tom Hanks, it followed a Pennsylvania band that became famous in 1964 with their hit song.

Grace and Frankie are back in action for a season three starting on March 24!

Netflix has dropped the official trailer for season three of its hit comedy series starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

The clip begins with Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) meeting with a load officer to pitch their sex toys business. “We make vibrators, specifically for older women, that take into account their arthritis,” says Grace to the loan officer. “Tender vaginal tissue,” adds Frankie – It’s going to be a fun season!

Grace and Frankie also stars Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, Brooklyn Decker, June Diane Raphael, Ethan Embry and Baron Vaughn.
