Maya Hawke‘s biggest fan is her dad Ethan Hawke!

The 48-year-old actor took to Instagram on Friday (July 5) to send a sweet shout-out to his 20-year-old daughter on her new role in season three of Stranger Things. Maya‘s mom is Uma Thurman.

“Some of you may have missed her in last year’s BBC production of Little Women. Some of you may have missed her work at Juilliard,” Ethan writes. “I know many missed out on numerous high school productions — heck I even missed a few and I’m her father. Some of you may know her music, some may not. But Ladies & Gentleman, get to know MAYA HAWKE. She’s the real thing. #StrangerThings.”

Maya plays the new character Robin, who is introduced as Steve’s co-worker at an ice cream shop.

Maya Hawke is one of the fresh new faces in the third season of Netflix’s smash hit series Stranger Things, which is now streaming.

The 20-year-old actress plays the new character Robin, who is introduced as Steve’s co-worker at an ice cream shop.

Did you know that Maya has two very famous parents? Her mom is Uma Thurman and her dad is Ethan Hawke!

“They love the show. They were fans of the show before I was,” Maya told E! News. “They were like, ‘Maya, you have to watch this show’ and I was like, ‘Okay, I’m really busy.’ But then I watched it.”

Maya says that she had watched the whole series before she auditioned, her parents didn’t force her to audition, and her parents also never came to the set.

He donned a red and white button-up shirt over a white t-shirt, blue and red sneakers, and a matching baseball cap.

Ethan looked to be having a serious conversation.

Ethan Hawke is currently filming for his upcoming biography Tesla – the intriguing life of Nikola Tesla, as a young man in NYC. Ethan plays the title role.

Ethan Hawke and Bobby Cannavale hit the red carpet together as they arrive at the 2019 BAM Gala on Wednesday night (May 15) at the Brooklyn Expo Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The two actors stepped out for the annual event which helps celebrate with the artists, patrons, and supporters of the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Ethan Hawke and Noomi Rapace are all smiles on the red carpet at the premiere of Stockholm on Thursday night (April 11) at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

The 48-year-old actor looked cool in a gray, plaid suit while the 39-year-old actress sported a black and white gown for the premiere of their new movie.

Also stepping out for the premiere was Alexander Skarsgard, who kept things casual in an all black outfit with white sneakers.

In the film, Ethan plays a mysterious bank-robbing bandit, while Noomi portrays hostage Bianca Lind, a woman who falls for her captor.

Stockholm hits select theaters on Friday, April 12.

Amanda Seyfried is all smiles while accepting Ethan Hawke‘s award on his behalf at the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday afternoon (February 23) in Santa Monica, Calif.

Ethan won the award for Best Male Lead for his work in First Reformed, but he couldn’t make it to the show. Amanda, who was his co-star in the film, read a speech that he prepared.

First Reformed was also nominated for Best Feature and both Best Director and Best Screenplay for Paul Schrader.
