'Teen Wolf' Creator Reveals Actors Who Auditioned, But Didn't Get Cast

The 10th anniversary of the popular MTV series Teen Wolf passed this weekend and the show’s creator Jeff Davis has revealed some secrets.

The show debuted on June 5, 2011 and turned actors like Dylan O’Brien and Tyler Posey into stars.

“What was really unusual to me was that the cast loved each other,” Jeff told E! News. “There were little fights and disagreements and people grew out of touch, but they still all hang out together. Daniel [Sharman] and Max [Carver] just did a road trip on a bike together. Colton [Haynes] and Holland [Roden] are still the best of friends. It’s nice to see that everybody really had such a good time making it.”

Jeff also revealed how some actors who later became big stars had auditioned for the show, but didn’t get roles.

Evan Peters to Play Serial Killer Jeffrey Dahmer in New Ryan Murphy Show for Netflix

Evan Peters and Ryan Murphy are teaming up again!

The 34-year-old actor has signed on to play serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the upcoming Netflix limited series Monster: The Jeffrey Story created by longtime collaborators Ryan and Ian Brennan, Deadline reports.

Here’s the synopsis: “Monster chronicles the story of one of America’s most notorious serial killers (Peters), largely told from the point of view of Dahmer’s victims, and dives deeply into the police incompetence and apathy that allowed the Wisconsin native to go on a multiyear killing spree. The series dramatizes at least 10 instances where Dahmer was almost apprehended but ultimately let go. The series also is expected to touch on white privilege, as Dahmer, a clean-cut, good-looking white guy, was repeatedly given a free pass by cops as well as by judges who were lenient when he had been charged with petty crimes.”

It was also announced that Penelope Ann Miller has been cast as Jeffrey‘s mother, while it was previously announced that this actor will be playing Jeffrey‘s father.

Shaun J. Brown has also joined the cast as Tracy, Jeffrey‘s last intended victim, who fought back, managed to escape, and helped the police arrest Jeffrey.

Niecy Nash and Colin Ford will also be starring in Monster.

'WandaVision' Showrunner Explains Evan Peters' Casting & How There Was No 'Plan B'

Evan Peters was a surprise star of the Disney+ series WandaVision and now showrunner Jac Schaeffer is opening up about his casting.

For those that don’t know, Evan previously played Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in the X-Men movies and he showed up as the character in episode 5 of WandaVision.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Pietro was previously played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Avengers: Age of Ultron, so Evan‘s introduction to the MCU was seemingly the beginning of the multiverse. We later found out his character’s true identity and that theory was thrown out.

Jac told The New York Times that using Evan “was an enormous question mark for a very long time. And it took a while to figure out if it would be possible.”

“It was late that it was finally confirmed that we could do it. But we were writing for it. Evan is such a chameleon in that way, that could play an amalgamation of [Full House‘]s Uncle Jesse, [Family Ties‘] Nick, and Joey from Friends. He could play those layers,” Jac added.

There was a possibility that Marvel execs wouldn’t allow Evan‘s casting because of the confusion it could have caused. Jac said that sometimes you are told, “No, you can’t have that toy,” and that you have to “find a different toy that suits your show better.”

“There wasn’t a Plan B,” Jac said about the casting of Fietro. “There were just very, very intense hopes and dreams, and they were met.”

There was a Doctor Strange nod in the season finale that you likely missed.
