Armie Hammer Stars in Trailer for Opioid Epidemic Thriller 'Crisis'

Armie Hammer appears in a new trailer for his upcoming thriller, Crisis, amid controversy and several allegations about his personal life and behavior towards women.

The 34-year-old actor stars in the movie alongside Gary Oldman and Evangeline Lilly, as well as Greg Kinnear, Michelle Rodriguez, Luke Evans, Lily-Rose Depp, Kid Cudi, Duke Nicholson, Veronica Ferres and Martin Donovan.

Here’s a plot summary, via Variety: set against the backdrop of the opioid epidemic, Crisis features three interwoven stories that highlight the greed, violence and tragedy of the drug war. An agent named Jake Kelly (Hammer) is tracking down a drug trafficker that arranged a multi-cartel Fentanyl smuggling operation between Canada and the U.S. His mission appears to intertwine with Claire Reimann’s (Lilly), who is an architect recovering from an oxycodone addiction searching for the truth behind her son’s involvement with narcotics and subsequent disappearance. Meanwhile, Dr. Tyrone Brower (Oldman) is a university professor who battles unexpected revelations about his employer, a pharmaceutical giant bringing a new “non-addictive” painkiller to market.

The film will be released in theaters across the United States on February 26, followed by a VOD release on March 5.

Paul Rudd & Evangeline Lilly to Share Equal Billing for 'Ant-Man 3'

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will be getting equal pay for the upcoming Ant-Man 3 movie.

During a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed talked about the 2018 movie being the first Marvel movie first project to feature a female superhero in its title.

“They’re a partnership, and she’s a very, very important part of that,” Peyton said of The Wasp’s relationship with Ant-Man.

“And that was a very gratifying thing, I guess technically we were the first Marvel movie with a female hero in the title of the movie. Finding that balance in that movie, that’s very important to me because that’s very much a men’s playing field, historically. But that’s really, really changing now in a great way,” Peyton said about Ant-Man 3 preparations.

Peyton will be directing Ant-Man 3 with Ricky and Morty writer Jeff Loveness penning the script.

“We have [cracked the story],” Peyton shared. “Nothing is official yet, but we’re quietly working. We’re working through the pandemic.”

Ant-Man 3 is currently scheduled to be released in 2022.

Evangeline Lilly Apologizes for Her 'Insensitive' Comments on Social Distancing

Evangeline Lilly is apologizing to fans after she made some controversial comments on social distancing earlier this month.

While most celebrities were urging their fans to stay home to help flatten the curve during the current health crisis, Evangeline preached the opposite.

Evangeline said that “house arrest” was not for her family and she added, “Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu. It’s unnerving…Let’s be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious — keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don’t abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power.”

In her apology, Evangeline said that her comments were made on March 16 and that the directives from authorities at the time, where she is located, were to not congregate in groups of 250 people or more. She has since been social distancing from home starting on March 18.

Evangeline received some shade from Sophie Turner during one of her live streams and one of her Lost co-stars also called her out.

Maggie Grace Calls Out Former 'Lost' Co-star Evangeline Lilly For Not Social Distancing

Maggie Grace doesn’t approve of Evangeline Lilly‘s stance on not social distancing during the time of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 36-year-old pregnant actress commented on her former Lost co-star’s Instagram after she shared that it was business as normal, despite being immunocompromised.

“There’s no need to panic, but at the same time this is about all of us – the vulnerable, the immunocompromised, older folks,” Maggie wrote. “Sure, it’s a free country, but how about choosing to exercise some of that wonderful freedom to have some compassion, trust the extensive science here and not overwhelm health system.”

She continued, “No doctor should have to choose which patients get life saving care and which patients get sent home to die – the sort of triage that is tragically happening in Italy right now. Think about how these small decisions effect [sic] your dad and those in your community as ventilators run out.”

Maggie also added a note to Evangeline saying that maybe she’d want to talk with Daniel Dae Kim, who starred with the duo on Lost as well, and tested positive for the virus.

“PS Daniel said he is doing a lot better btw. I don’t know, Maybe you guys want to chat?”

Maggie isn’t the first celebrity to call out Evangeline‘s actions. See what Sophie Turner said about them.

Sophie Turner Throws Shade at Evangeline Lilly for Her Controversial Stance on Social Distancing

Sophie Turner has no patience for people who don’t understand the importance of social distancing.

The 24-year-old actress, who is currently quarantined at home with her husband Joe Jonas, totally threw some shade at Lost actress Evangeline Lilly, without actually naming her, during an Instagram Live.

Evangeline told fans that she will not be social distancing, even though she has an underlying condition. She said, “Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices.”

During her Instagram Live with Joe, Sophie went off, saying, “Stay inside. Don’t be f–king stupid. Even if you count your ‘freedom over [...] your health.’ I don’t give a f–k about your freedom. You could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people around you by doing this. So stay inside guys! It’s not cool, it’s not big, and it’s not clever… And that’s the tea.”

Evangeline Lilly Is Not Social Distancing, Despite Being 'Immune Compromised at the Moment'

It does not appear as if Evangeline Lilly is practicing social distancing during the Coronavirus pandemic sweeping the world.

It all started when the Ant-Man star said she dropped her kids off at a gymnastics gym this week, writing, “Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual.”

This caption prompted a lot of questions from fans, with one writing, “No Corona House Arrest???” to which Evangeline responded, “Not for this family.”

“Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu. It’s unnerving…Let’s be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious — keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don’t abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power,” she wrote in another comment.

She then added that she’s currently living with her father who has stage four cancer.

“I am also immune compromised at the moment,” she added. “I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices.”

She also seemed to imply this was happening in an election year for a reason.

Evangeline Lilly Reveals A She's Been Dealing With a 'Profound Pain'

Evangeline Lilly got candid with her fans on social media this week.

After sharing a photo of her new blond pixie cut, the 40-year-old actress asked fans which hair color they liked better on her. When most answered brunette, Evangeline showed them what the brunette did to her last year: put her in a dark place.

“I had such a rough year last year but I didn’t want to share all of it with you because i didn’t want to be a dark cloud in your world,” she told fans. “All I’ve ever wanted to do was put joy in the world. To add sunshine. I didn’t want you to be having a perfectly good day and then have my post make you sad. But I struggle deeply with feeling that all I ever am is what I feel everyone else wants and needs me to be. I often feel alone and unseen.”

She continues, “Publicly, I hid and made light of my deepest traumas and laughed in the face of my most profound pain. Until, last year, I broke. Suddenly I was forced to face my weakness and my limitations, my trauma and fears. I was left with no choice but to accept that I am limited or…carry on down a road of perfectionist denial that would inevitably kill me.”

“I am coming out of that deep place, slowly. As I start to breathe the fresh air, as I start to find my new, limited footing, I feel disconnected from you. I feel it’s pointless to share the light when you don’t know my darkness. I feel lost and apathetic about this space we share.”

#fbf #flashbackfriday Yesterday many of you said “brunette”. Well, here she is, about a year ago today. I had such a rough year last year but I didn’t want to share all of it with you because i didn’t want to be a dark cloud in your world. All I’ve ever wanted to do was put joy in the world. To add sunshine. I didn’t want you to be having a perfectly good day and then have my post make you sad. But I struggle deeply with feeling that all I ever am is what I feel everyone else wants and needs me to be. I often feel alone and unseen. . I have always known I was strong. Strong enough, I believed, to hold all my pain and everyone else’s also. So I kept it all inside, kept it to myself, and made space in there to hold your pain, too. Publicly, I hid and made light of my deepest traumas and laughed in the face of my most profound pain. . Until, last year, I broke. Suddenly I was forced to face my weakness and my limitations, my trauma and fears. I was left with no choice but to accept that I am limited or…carry on down a road of perfectionist denial that would inevitably kill me. . I am coming out of that deep place, slowly. As I start to breathe the fresh air, as I start to find my new, limited footing, I feel disconnected from you. I feel it’s pointless to share the light when you don’t know my darkness. I feel lost and apathetic about this space we share. . But I ask myself…would you have wanted to come along in my darkness had I shared it? . 📷 taken by my four-year-old son #whenbabieshavecameras . #lightanddarkness
