It has been just over one year since HBO Max debuted the new streaming service, and in that time, lots of movies and TV shows have debuted.

A new study just revealed the 10 most popular television shows on the streaming service, and number one will probably come as no surprise.

Almost two years ago, NRG, a global insights and strategy firm, set out to discover America’s favorite movie and TV franchises.

The firm conducted over 350,000 interviews about 700 different movie and television franchises to determine which is the most beloved by Americans.

“Consumers are ready for entertainment franchises to lean into important cultural conversations and create a new reality — one in which optimism, diversity and curiosity unite rather than divide us,” Jon Penn, CEO of NRG, said to Variety in a statement about the top 20 list.

The top choice – America’s most beloved franchise – is actually on the newer side, and might surprise you to see!

NBC has revealed the fate of every show from the 2020-2021 broadcast season, and we now know which shows will and won’t be back next season and next year.

Unfortunately, the network has cancelled a whopping six television shows this year, and there will be three more shows ending. They did, however, hand out so many renewals.

The two-part Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion special aired last week and tonight marks the first Thursday night in a long time without a new episode.

The series finale of the long-running reality show aired two weeks ago and then the family reunited for an interview with Andy Cohen, in which they talked about many of their shocking moments from the past decade.

At the beginning of the special, Andy told the audience that he did not show his questions to the family ahead of the interview and nothing was off limits.

Throughout the night, we got honest answers from Kim about her relationships with Kris Humphries and Kanye West, from Kris about her marriage to Caitlyn Jenner, from Kylie about how her insecurities with her lips led to her empire, and more.

We learned details about who kept parts of their personal lives off the show, how the family would control leaks of their private info, and details on Kim‘s infamous sex tape.

During part two, the Kardashians addressed topics from Jordyn Woods, Tristan Thompson‘s cheating, the “Kardashian curse,” Caitlyn‘s transition, Khloe‘s plastic surgery, and much, much more.

We’re only a few weeks into 2021 but Netflix has already made at least one great decision: a fan favorite TV series renewal.

As fans are well aware, Netflix is infamous for cancelling many fan favorite original shows on the streaming service. However, they do hand out lots of renewals as well, especially for their smash hits.

On January 21, Netflix handed out the very first renewal of 2021 to one of the biggest hits in the recent past. Fans are so thrilled that this show will officially be back for a second season. On January 27, Netflix handed out a two season renewal to another hit! Just a few days ago on February 18, Netflix handed out yet another renewal! March has seen two renewals. Now, there’s a new update for May 2021 and two shows renewed for June 2021!
