Chris Rock's 'Fargo' Season Finally Gets a Premiere Date!

The upcoming fourth season of Fargo, which will star Chris Rock, has finally been given a premiere date!

The show was scheduled to premiere back in April, but it was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, FX is ready to premiere the season on Sunday, September 27.

Back-to-back episodes will air on the premiere night. New episodes of the series will be added to FX on Hulu one day after their premiere on the cable network.

In 1950 Kansas City, the fourth installment of Fargo centers on two criminal syndicates who are fighting for a piece of the American dream and have struck an uneasy peace. Together, they control an alternate economy of exploitation, graft and drugs. To cement their truce, Loy Cannon (Rock), the head of the African American crime family, trades his youngest son Satchel (Rodney Jones), to his enemy Donatello Fadda (Tomasso Ragno), the head of the Italian mafia. In return, Donatello surrenders his youngest son Zero (Jameson Braccioforte) to Loy.

Also starring in the new season are Timothy Olyphant, Jason Schwartzman, Jessie Buckley, Ben Whishaw, and more. Production will resume on the series later this month!

'Fargo' Season 4's Premiere Date Is Delayed Due to Production Shut Down

We’ll be waiting for Fargo‘s season four for a little while longer.

Variety says that the hit show’s premiere is indefinitely delayed because of the coronavirus.

“Due to the postponement of production related to the coronavirus, the fourth installment of FX’s award-winning limited series ‘Fargo’ will no longer premiere on Sunday, April 19th,” FX Networks shared in a statement about the delay. “A new premiere date will be determined once production resumes.”

Chris Rock, Uzo Aduba, Jack Huston, Jason Schwartzman, Ben Whishaw, Jessie Buckley, and more star in the new season.

Many other shows have been delayed and their sets shut down because of the pandemic.

Ewan McGregor Opens Up About Nude 'Fargo' Scenes

Ewan McGregor had a nude bath scene in the premiere episode of Fargo.

The 46-year-old actor had to gain weight to play Ray, while also portraying Ray’s brother Emmit in dual roles.

“You see my naked body,” Ewan recently said (via Vanity Fair). “Although I wear some padding for Ray to make him heavier, this scene had to justify that padding. It wouldn’t make sense for me to wear padding and not be fat when I got out of the bath. So when I got out of the bath, I was properly overweight for me.”

He added, “I’m a small guy. I’m not really used to carrying weight. It doesn’t make you feel great. I like to feel fit and healthy. But it was effective. It worked.”

Fargo airs Wednesday nights @ 10PM on FX.
