The 34-year-old actress, who was only 23 when she landed the role of Daenerys Targaryen, says she still doesn’t know how to wrap her head around the experience.

“I honestly still look back at it and go, ‘I’m so not at a point where I can retrospectively see this for what it is.’ I think I’ll be 90 when I can actually do that,” Emilia said in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. “The experience was so enormous, and so all-consuming, and defines me at that young moment in my life. You kind of look back at it like you would high school or college. When you’re young like that, you’re so in the moment.”

Fabien Frankel is latest star to join HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones prequel!

The 27-year-old rising British actor has been cast in a key role in the upcoming House of the Dragon, GoT author George R.R. Martin announced on his blog.

According to the author, Fabien will be playing Ser Criston Cole, a member of King Viserys I Targaryen’s Kingsguard, a knight whose bold actions helped pave the way to civil war.

“He is the common-born son of the steward to the Lord of Blackhaven,” George wrote on his blog. “He has no claim to lands or titles, all he has is his honor and his skill with sword and lance. He is a challenger, a champion, cheered by the commons, beloved of the ladies. He is a lover (or is he?), a seducer (or is he?), a betrayer (or is he?), a breaker of hearts and a maker of kings … Welcome to Westeros, Fabien. And do keep that sword sharp.”

Fabien is best known for his roles in 2019′s Last Christmas and the upcoming movie The Serpent.

Olivia Cooke Is Making a Promise About 'Game of Thrones' Prequel 'House of the Dragon'

Game of Thrones‘ new prequel, House of the Dragon, will not feature “egregious graphic violence towards women for no reason whatsoever,” star Olivia Cooke is promising.

“I wouldn’t feel comfortable in being a part of anything that has just egregious graphic violence towards women for no reason whatsoever, just because they want it to be tantalizing in a way that gets viewers,” Olivia told The Telegraph. “I was lucky enough to read the [prequel] script before, and it has changed a lot from the first few seasons [of ‘Thrones’]. I don’t think they’d be in their right minds to include any of that any more.”

Many fans of Game of Thrones were not happy to see so much rape and violence towards women on the show. Emilia Clarke once spoke out about how men were seemingly given different treatment on set, too.

Steve Toussaint (Pine Gap), Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill), Eve Best (Nurse Jackie) and Sonoya Mizuno (Ex Machina) are all joining the prequel alongside previously announced stars Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith.

The show is set a few hundred years prior to the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war that became known as the “Dance of the Dragons.”

Here’s more about the characters: “Toussaint will star as Lord Corlys Velaryon, ‘The Sea Snake.’ Lord of House Velaryon, a Valyrian bloodline as old as House Targaryen. As ‘The Sea Snake,’ the most famed nautical adventurer in the history of Westeros, Lord Corlys built his house into a powerful seat that is even richer than the Lannisters and that claims the largest navy in the world.”

Ifans will play Otto Hightower. The Hand of the King, Ser Otto loyally and faithfully serves both his king and his realm. As the Hand sees it, the greatest threat to the realm is the king’s brother, Daemon (Smith), and his position as heir to the throne.

Best will appeare as Princess Rhaenys Velaryon. A dragonrider and wife to Lord Corlys Velaryon, ‘The Queen Who Never Was’ was passed over as heir to the throne at the Great Council because the realm favored her cousin, Viserys, simply for being male.”

Mizuno joins as Mysaria. She came to Westeros with nothing, sold more times than she can recall. She could have wilted… but instead she rose to become the most trusted — and most unlikely — ally of Prince Daemon Targaryen, the heir to the throne.”

HBO has given the show a 10-episode order with a planned 2022 debut. Find out about another show the creators are working on!
