In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, Australian HFPA member Jenny Cooney said that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had been in contact with Time’s Up after a bombshell story that the organization had zero black members.

Cooney stated they were “having a dialogue right now with Time’s Up” and other organizations. “We’re counting on our partners to say we can’t fix this alone, because we’ve been looking at this from the wrong filter. So we need you to help us find people and bring them in as soon as possible … I really feel like this time next year, we’ll have, I would have to think, at least three or four Black members.”

The 2021 Golden Globes ceremony was not a ratings hit.

The NBC broadcast for the semi-virtual live show hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on two different coasts brought in a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers on Sunday (February 28), via Deadline.

“That’s an all-time low in the demo for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association-hosted show and a near-low in viewership. Only the 2008 show, which was a press conference due to the writers strike, did worse in recent times in terms of sets of eyeballs,” the outlet noted of the 2008 ceremony, which yielded an audience of 6.03 million.

The least-watched ceremony for NBC remains 1995′s broadcast, which had 3.6 million viewers.

For the 18-49s, the previous ratings low for the main ceremony was the 4.7 that the Ricky Gervais-hosted 2020 show received. The 2021 ceremony fell 68% from that.

During the 2021 Golden Globes over the weekend, fans noticed that nominee Sarah Paulson was wearing a cast.

The purple cast that was wrapped around the 46-year-old actress’ right arm, and was adorned with Prada‘s nameplate to match her custom, off-the-shoulder, black Prada gown and Harry Winston jewels.

Sarah, who was nominated for Best TV Drama Actress for her role in Ratched, was apprrently injured on the set of American Crime Story, Vogue reports.

There are no additional details about Sarah‘s injury so far, although the star was icing her wrist just a day before.

American Crime Story is a new series from Ryan Murphy and follows the retelling of President Bill Clinton’s impeachment and relationship with Monica Lewinsky, who will be played by Beanie Feldstein.

Jason Bateman filmed his 2021 Golden Globes appearance at Jennifer Aniston‘s house!

The 52-year-old actor was nominated for his work in Ozark, and appeared on camera with his daughters Francesca, 14, and Maple, 12, whom he shares with his wife, Amanda Anka, as they waited to see if he won. Josh O’Connor ended up winning for The Crown.

Jennifer revealed that Jason was at her home in her Instagram Story, and you can check out those pics in the gallery of this post! Jennifer and Jason have worked together numerous times over the years including in The Break-Up, The Switch, Horrible Bosses and more. They’ve been pals for years and even vacation together!

Unfortunately, Kaley Cuoco is not a Golden Globes winner this year

The 35-year-old actress was nominated for the Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy for her role in The Flight Attendant at the ceremony held on Sunday (February 28).

In the end, Kaley ended up losing the award to Catherine O’Hara for her role as Moira Rose on Schitt’s Creek.

After the loss, Kaley took to Instagram to poke a little fun at the situation.

“I would like to thank…never mind !!😝🥂🎉 🍕 🧁” Kaley wrote along with a photo of herself still wearing her Oscar de la Renta ballgown and surrounded by pizza, baked goods, and champagne.

Hours before the awards show, Kaley documented herself getting emotional during a sweet surprise!

Ben Stiller has been staying busy during the pandemic!

The 55-year-old actor hit the stage for the 2021 Golden Globes held at The Beverly Hilton on Sunday (February 28) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Before presenting his award, Ben chatted a bit about how he’s been staying busy during the pandemic.

First, Ben referenced his full head of gray hair, joking that he “finally got around to dyeing my hair gray.”

He then also said that he’s learned how to make banana bread, before showing off “a delicious banana bread in the perfect form of a Golden Globe.”

Other actors presenting during the Globes included Anthony Anderson and Sean Penn.

Last year’s big winners are back at the 2021 Golden Globes!

Renee Zellweger, Joaquin Phoenix, and Awkwafina all took to the stage to present awards during the ceremony held at The Beverly Hilton on Sunday (February 28) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

At last year’s ceremony, Renee won the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her role in Judy, Joaquin won the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his role in Joker, and Awkwafina won the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical for her role in The Farewell.

Other stars presenting awards at this year’s awards show included Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryce Dallas Howard.
