David Beckham happily strikes a pose alongside his longtime friend Gordon Ramsay while attending the official launch party of his Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay restaurant on Tuesday evening (September 2) in London, England.
The 44-year-old retired soccer star was also accompanied by his son Brooklyn Beckham, who spent most of his time hanging out with Gordon‘s son Jack Ramsay.

The restaurant – “inspired by Tokyo’s 1930s kissas and Shanghai’s drinking dens” – features a Pan-Asian menu including sushi and sashami. Guests enjoyed an array of cocktails, sushi from the Raw Bar and sparkling sake as DJ Fat Tony entertained the crowd until the early hours.
Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina were also in attendance at the Lucky Cat launch party.

The 52-year-old chef – along with fellow A-list culinary celebrities Padma Lakshmi, Roy Choi, Jon Favreau, David Chang, and Samin Nosrat – are all featured in the mag’s first-ever “20 Power Players of Food Media” feature. Here’s what they had to share:
David on the explosive uptick in food programming: “Food’s only been really analyzed in America since Anthony Bourdain wrote ‘Kitchen Confidential.’ Then maybe a few years ago, people thought there was a saturation in TV, but that’s because the shows were all too similar. Now the people actually making food have been able to convince TV that a lot remains untouched.”
Gordon on his biggest on-camera disaster: “Making chicken curry on live TV, not noticing that the burner wasn’t on. When I fed the guests, they only pretended to eat it. I had no idea it was raw.”
Padma on what she wants to see more from on food shows: “I want to see more people get down and dirty with fermentation. There are so many fermentation practices happening in various cuisines.”
Roy on what HE wants to see more of on food shows: “More mothers! Women who have raised generations; women who can cook just as proficiently as a banquet chef for The Ritz-Carlton.”
Gordon on what he wants to do next: “Food TV has really exploded, and that’s exciting to me as a producer. But I’d rather front less and create more.”

Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana have welcomed their fifth child!
The 52-year-old celebrity chef announced on his Instagram account that his wife, the 44-year-old author, had given birth to their son Oscar James.
“After 3 baftas and one Emmy… finally we have won an Oscar, please welcome Oscar James Ramsay, who touched down at 12:58 today for some lunch ! Xxx,” he captioned the pic.
The couple also share 21-year-old Megan, 17-year-old Matilda, and 19-year-old twins Holly and Jack.

Gordon Ramsay is having another baby!
The 52-year-old chef and Masterchef host took to Instagram on New Year’s Eve to announce that he and wife Tana are expecting their fifth child together.
Gordon enlisted the help of their four children — Matilda, 17, 19-year-old twins Holly and Jack, and Megan, 20 – to break the exciting news to wish his followers a Happy New Year before Tana showed off her growing bump.
“Exciting news ! Happy new year from all the Ramsay’s,” Gordon captioned the below video.

The cooking reality TV competition show was renewed for Season 10 at Fox as of Wednesday (September 19), Variety confirmed.

The Gordon Ramsay-hosted show’s ninth season will air its finale on Wednesday (September 19), in which the remaining home cooks will face their final challenge.
MasterChef will hold casting calls around the country starting in September.
New York and Chicago will hold calls on September 22, while Los Angeles and Dallas will hold them on September 29.
