'This Is Us' Adds Key Cast Member After Mid-Season Finale Cliffhanger Ending!

SPOILER ALERT – Do not continue reading if you haven’t seen the mid-season finale of This Is Us yet!

The last few episodes of This Is Us have focused on Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) search for answers about his father Jack Pearson’s (Milo Ventimiglia) time in Vietnam.

While he didn’t necessarily find out what he wanted to know about his dad, he did learn something about his uncle Nicky (Michael Angarano), who he thought had died in the war.

During a cliffhanger moment at the end of the mid-season finale on Tuesday night (November 27), we learned that Nicky did not die in the war and he is very much alive today!

Griffin Dunne has just been cast in the recurring role of present-day Nicky and we will see more of him “within the first couple” of episodes after the winter break, series creator Dan Fogelman told Deadline.

Kevin Bacon promoted his latest project this weekend.

The 58-year-old actor stepped out for a screening of his new Amazon series I Love Dick held during the 2017 San Francisco International Film Festival at Alamo Drafthouse New Mission on Saturday (April 15) in San Francisco, Calif.

Also in attendance were writer Sarah Gubbins and co-star Griffin Dunne.

Based on Chris Kraus‘ 1997 novel, I Love Dick “centers on a struggling married couple, failing wife and independent filmmaker Chris (Kathryn Hahn) and Sylvere, and their mutual obsession with an off-putting but charismatic professor, Dick (Bacon),” according to Deadline.
