Tom Brady Reveals His 'Hamilton' Obsession While Golfing with James Corden - Watch Video!

Tom Brady was never a fan of showtunes growing up, but now Hamilton is one of his obsessions!

The 43-year-old NFL player went golfing with James Corden for a segment on The Late Late Show and he revealed his love of the Tony-winning musical.

“When I was a kid growing up, my dad — this is when we had CDs — you’d get in your dad’s car, and you’d open up the CD book, right?” Tom said. “And I would listen to, like, you know, hip-hop music and rock music. And then when you go into his car, it’s like show tunes. And I was like, ‘You know what, Dad? When I’m older, I am never going to listen to show tunes in my car.’ And now it’s like, literally, you put it on and hear the kids are singing.”

During the segment, Tom and James performed the title song “Alexander Hamilton.” Watch below!

'Hamilton' Cast Masks Up & Pre-Tapes Their Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Performance

The Schuyler Sisters go full out in costume as the cast of Hamilton pre-tapes part of their performance for the Macy’s 2020 Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Sunday afternoon (November 15).

The cast – including Marc delaCruz and Fergie L. Philippe – were seen outside the Richard Rogers Theater and put on a full performance for the upcoming annual event, which will be socially distant this year due to the pandemic.

For this years’ event, floats and performers will travel just one city block down 34th Street instead of the usual two and a half mile route, and the giant balloons will now be handled by just a select few people and will be driven by utility vehicles.

The cast of Hamilton isn’t the only Broadway production to join the parade.

Ain’t Too Proud — The Life and Times of The Temptations, Jagged Little Pill, and Mean Girls will also be performing and pre-taping their performances.

You can see who else is performing at the Macy’s 2020 Thanksgiving Day Parade here…

The parade will still air on November 26. Check your local listings for times and networks.

Here's Why Leslie Odom, Jr. Almost Said No To The 'Hamilton' Movie

Leslie Odom, Jr almost wasn’t in the Hamilton movie on Disney+.

The 39-year-old actor, who originated the role of Aaron Burr in the stage production, opened up about why he hesitated in saying yes to star in the movie over pay equity.

“They came to me with an offer and you know, ‘Leslie, we’re shooting tomorrow.’ I’m like, here’s the thing: This is it. This is my area of expertise. This is all I have. This is my life’s work on the stage, too. And so I just can’t sell it away for magic beans. I can’t give it away,” he recalled when speaking with Dax Shephard on his Armchair Expert podcast (via).

Leslie continued, “So I can ask CAA (Creative Artists Agency), ‘What does my white counterpart, what does Aaron Tveit make to do Grease Live! on TV? What does he make to do Grease? This is Hamilton live, right?”

“When I found out what he made, I didn’t ask for a penny more. I didn’t ask for one penny more, but I said, ‘You must pay me exactly what that white boy got to do Grease Live!’ That’s the bottom line.”

Leslie was adamant about pay equity for the movie and didn’t settle for anything less.

“The day before we shot that movie I called out. I was not kidding,” he added. “I was not coming to work the next day to do the movie. You know, I was not kidding. It was a principle for me and sometimes it doesn’t work out. Sometimes they look at you and go, ‘We’re just not paying it,’ and you have to go, ‘That’s OK.’”

Leslie won a Tony award for his performance as Burr in 2016.

If you missed it, you can see just how many people watched the production on Disney+ during its’ opening weekend.

Lin-Manuel Miranda Told 'Hamilton' Editors to Keep Jonathan Groff's Spit in the Film!

When the Hamilton movie was released a few weeks ago, everyone couldn’t stop talking about Jonathan Groff and his spit.

The 35-year-old Tony-nominated actor plays King George in the filmed version of the Broadway musical and he’s known for spitting while he sings, which is something that viewers can clearly see in the movie.

Jonathan is aware that he spits while singing and has even commented on it in the past.

Now, the film’s co-executive producer Jon Kamen is opening up about how editors were ready to use visual effects to remove the spit, but Lin-Manuel Miranda and his team wanted to keep it in!

“We said don’t worry we can clean that up — they were like ‘No, leave it!,’” Kamen told IndieWire.

See how people are reacting to the spit.
