The Cast of 'Succession' Is Getting Big Pay Raises for Season 3

Succession will be returning for a third season on HBO and the cast is going to be making a lot more money for their work!

THR reports that the seven main stars of the series are getting pay raises for the third season.

Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfayden, and Nicholas Braun will all be making around $300,000 to $350,000 per episode. Brian Cox, who won a Golden Globe earlier this year for his performance as patriarch Logan Roy, will be making more than the rest of the cast.

It is being reported that most of the cast was earning below $100,000 per episode for the first two seasons. It’s very common in Hollywood for the casts of successful series to renegotiate their pay after two seasons.

The first two seasons of Succession are currently streaming on HBO Go and they’ll be available on the upcoming streaming service HBO Max as well.

'Friends' Reunion HBO Max Special Put on Hold Amid Pandemic

The much-anticipated Friends reunion special is being delayed.

The unscripted reunion special will not be available when HBO Max launches in May, THR reported on Friday (April 10).

“Given that the industry-wide production shutdown is remaining in place for the foreseeable future, the six original stars and show creators will not be getting together virtually to record the special. Sources say the cast and HBO Max leadership all want to reunite in person on the former NBC comedy’s iconic Stage 24 at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, Calif,” THR reported.

The special was reportedly planned to be taped between March 23 and March 24 with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, as well as series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman.

“We want to share some background information about the production dates for the upcoming unscripted Friends reunion special for HBO Max. As was previously reported, production is delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This means that the special will not be available on the streamer on Day 1 of launch. But it is coming!” HBO Max said in a statement.

“The cast and producers are all very excited to go into production, as this will be the first time since the show ended that the whole cast will be together, and on the original sets to reminisce. There are loads of great surprises in store and lots of rare behind-the-scenes footage they are eager to share. We will keep you informed as plans solidify and once we have a firm premiere date. Lastly, in order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series. The cast will be appearing as themselves, not as their beloved characters. And though fans will have to wait a bit longer for the reunion, they can watch all 236 episodes of the series on day one of HBO Max launch in May!”

All of these shows and events have been canceled or postponed amid the pandemic.

HBO to Reclassify 'Watchmen' as Limited Series, Future Editions Are Possible

HBO has made the decision to reclassify its series Watchmen to a limited series moving forward.

The network has announced that season one of the hit show will no longer compete as a “drama series” at awards shows and instead will be considered a “limited series.” This includes “any possible future installments” as well.

“We discussed with the producers and felt limited series was the most accurate representation of the show and any possible future installments,” the network said in a statement (via Variety).

Executive producer and showrunner Damon Lindelof basically shot down any hope for future seasons in previous interviews, but he has hinted that there’s still a chance he’d return for more installments.
