H.E.R. Wins Best Original Song for 'Fight For You' at Oscars 2021 - Watch!

H.E.R. is an Oscar winner!

The 23-year-old singer took home the award for Best Original Song at the 2021 Academy Awards on Sunday (April 25).

H.E.R. won the award for her song “Fight For You,” which was featured in Judas and the Black Messiah.

She won the award alongside her collaborators D’Mile and Tiara Thomas.

“Musicians, filmmakers, I think we have a responsibility to tell the truth, to write history the way it was,” H.E.R. said during her acceptance speech. “Knowledge is power. Music is power and as long as I’m standing I’m always gonna fight for us.”

H.E.R.‘s song was nominated alongside “Hear My Voice” from The Trial of the Chicago 7, “Husavik” from Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, “Io sì (Seen)” from The Life Ahead, and “Speak Now” from One Night in Miami…

Jennifer Garner, Edgar Ramirez, & 'Yes Day' Cast Rolled Out the Red Carpet at Home for Virtual Premiere!

The new family comedy Yes Day will be released on Netflix this weekend and the cast got together online for a virtual premiere the other day!

Jennifer Garner, Edgar Ramirez, Jenna Ortega, and the rest of the cast rolled out the red carpet in their homes or backyards for a fun virtual event.

Others in attendance at the premiere included H.E.R., Nat Faxon, Leonardo Nam, Megan Stott, Julian Lerner, and Everly Carganilla.

Here’s the synopsis of Yes Day: “Always feeling like they have to say NO to their kids and co-workers, Allison (Garner) and Carlos (Ramirez) decide to give their three kids a YES DAY — where for 24 hours the kids make the rules. Little did they know that they’d be going on a whirlwind adventure around Los Angeles, that would bring the family closer to each other than ever before.”

Super Bowl 2021 Announces 'National Anthem' & 'America the Beautiful' Performers!

The 2021 Super Bowl just added three more performers to the lineup!

Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church will be singing the National Anthem together in the pre-game moment that usually brings the house down! Demi Lovato performed in 2020 and Gladys Knight sang the rendition in 2019.

In addition, the NFL announced that H.E.R. will sing “America the Beautiful.” Yolanda Adams performed the song last year and Chloe x Halle performed it the year prior.

The Weeknd will be performing live during the halftime show. This year, the two teams playing in the Super Bowl are unknown. It will either be the Buffalo Bills or Kansas City Chiefs vs. either the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Green Bay Packers.

Tune-in on February 7 to the Super Bowl on CBS Kick-Off Show at 6pm ET! The game will start shortly after.

Emmys 2020: H.E.R. Covers Prince's 'Nothing Compares 2 U' for Emotional In Memoriam Performance (Video)

H.E.R. is honoring those we lost in 2020.

The 23-year-old singer took the stage during the 2020 Emmy Awards for the In Memoriam performance on Sunday evening (September 20).

During the performance, H.E.R. gave an emotional cover of Prince‘s song “Nothing Compares 2 U.”

Stars remembered during the In Memoriam included Regis Philbin, Naya Rivera, Fred Willard, Jerry Stiller, James Lipton, Buck Henry, Iam Holm, Brian Dennehy, Honor Blackman, Max von Sydow, Kirk Douglas, and Chadwick Boseman among others.

Due to time constraints, the Emmys didn’t include all those we lost in the tribute. You can see the full “In Memoriam” tribute on their website.

Lizzo & Janelle Monae Arrive in Style for NAACP Image Awards 2020

Lizzo and Janelle Monae both hit the red carpet at the 2020 NAACP Image Awards on Saturday (February 22) at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif.

The 31-year-old “Truth Hurts” singer and 34-year-old singer/actress both donned colorful outfits as they attended the awards show.

Other stars at the awards show included H.E.R. and T.I. with wife Tiny and their 3-year-old daughter Heiress.

Lizzo is nominated for six awards tonight, including Entertainer of the Year.

H.E.R & Lewis Hamilton Debut Their TommyNow Line in London

Lewis Hamilton and Tommy Hilfiger walk around backstage at the TommyNow fashion show during London Fashion Week on Sunday (February 16) at Tate Modern in London, England.

They were joined by H.E.R. and Naomi Campbell, who both appeared in the show.

The guys debuted their fourth TommyXLewis collection during the show and in a surprise twist, they revealed 12 special TommyXLewisXH.E.R. pieces that the singer helped design.

All of the runway looks were immediately available to shop around the globe right after the show ended.

Pose‘s Billy Porter was among the celebs in attendance at the event.
