Hilary Swank‘s new Netflix series Away has become the latest hit show on the streaming service and there has been lots of confusion surrounding one of the final moments of the season finale.

The first season of the show followed five astronauts on their months-long mission to Mars and they finally reached the planet in the last few minutes of the season.

It was decided before the mission that Chinese astronaut Lu Wang (Vivian Wu) would be the first person to step foot on Mars, but viewers couldn’t figure out who actually was the first person to walk on the planet based on what was shown.

We’re able to see the first foot making its mark in the sand on Mars, but then the camera cuts to Misha (Mark Ivanir) and Lu talking to each other and it looks like he’s ventured out further than she has.

The new Netflix series Away, starring Hilary Swank, has been number one on the streaming service this week and fans are wondering what will happen in a possible second season.

Netflix has not yet renewed the show for another season, but thanks to the early success, it seems inevitable that we’ll get more seasons.

Hilary Swank has made a decision to seek legal action and sue SAG-AFTRA’s Health Plan.

The Away actress filed her lawsuit this week, which claims that the health plan denied her coverage for the treatment of ovarian cysts.

Court documents state that Hilary was diagnosed with ovarian cysts in 2008, and that the health plan has stopped “allowing Swank’s claims for treatment of ovarian cysts” in 2015.

After being diagnosed in 2008, Hilary underwent emergency surgery to remove her left ovary after it was destroyed due to a cyst.

In a statement, via People, Hilary says that she is “truly exhausted by the way women’s ovarian and cyclical health issues continue to be treated by healthcare insurance companies. I have experienced it in my own life, and I continually read about it across social media and in the press. Their policies are antiquated, barbaric and primarily view the role of women’s organs solely as a means for procreation.”

She continued, “My hope is to create change for all woman suffering from women’s health issues that have to battle with insurance companies who diminish the significance of their problems, don’t believe the patient (or their doctor’s) explanations surrounding their suffering, and severely preclude coverage to only incredibly limited services and procedures. It’s painful enough having to deal with the nature of a female health issue, let alone having to wrestle with the stress of trying to get your insurance company to provide the coverage and care that their contract explicitly states they offer.”

“After years of experiencing my own health issues and the ensuing denials from my healthcare company for services that are medically proven to preserve my life, and seeing how expensive this is to support without the help of an insurance company, I decided to speak up,” Hilary added. “Based on what I learned, I know that most women can’t afford the medical treatments necessary to cover simple female health issues. I can only assume they either financially deplete their resources, or they forgo the treatments, quietly suffering in pain and risking their lives.”

“My hope is to be a voice for them. SAG/AFTRA Healthplan claim they treat and protect all their members equally. I don’t believe this is true. If you’re a woman suffering from female health issues, I have no doubt you’ll agree with me. If you’re a man, ask your mother, your daughter, your sister, or a girlfriend. I already know the answer. I’m suing SAG/AFTRA Healthplan. It’s time we are treated fairly.”

Just recently, Hilary opened up about why she took an extended break from acting.

Hilary Swank is opening up about the reason behind her taking a break from acting.

The 46-year-old actress, who will next star on Netflix’s Away series, took some time away from the limelight in 2014 to care for her ailing father who was in need of a lung transplant.

“It was supposed to be a year, because it takes a year to see if an organ transplant takes,” Hilary shared in her cover story with Health magazine. “A lung transplant is the most difficult of all, as it’s an incredibly delicate organ.”

She added, “The plan was to take off a year. I became my dad’s health advocate. One year quickly turned into two, and then three. And, thank God, prayers were answered. He is healthy and doing really well five-plus years later.”

Hilary also explained that becoming a health advocate isn’t for everyone.

“It takes a lot of energy, love, and edifying yourself on the matter at hand,” she admits. “The ups and downs are so challenging and can be overwhelming.”

Her advice to those taking on that role? “Make sure that you’re taking time for yourself and that you vocalize what your needs are to the people who are around you so they can help support you.”

Ethan Suplee hits the red carpet for the premiere of his new film, The Hunt, held at ArcLight Cinemas on Monday night (March 9) in Hollywood.

The 43-year-old actor showed off his transformation at the event, alongside co-stars Hilary Swank, Betty Gilpin, Glenn Howerton, Steve Coulter, Sylvia Grace Crim, Ike Barinholtz and pal Juliette Lewis.

The Hunt is about 12 strangers, who wake up in a clearing and don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen – for a very specific purpose – The Hunt.
