Catherine O'Hara Is Going Viral On TikTok After Fans Realized She's The Mom From 'Home Alone'

Catherine O’Hara just conquered TikTok without even having an account on the social media platform.

Fans are just now finding out that the 66-year-old Schitt’s Creek star is also the mom from Home Alone.

During a special Zoom event on Josh Gad‘s Reunited Apart series earlier this summer, Catherine flawlessly recreated the iconic scene from Home Alone 2 of her yelling “Kevin!” when she realizes she’s left her youngest son at home while flying to Florida for the holidays.

The clip was recently shared on TikTok by a fan, and it’s now gone viral with a massive 437,000 likes.

In the recreation of the scene, Catherine even faints after yelling Kevin’s name.

There’s been a lot of Home Alone revelations this year, as Kieran Culkin, who is star Macaulay Culkin‘s brother, admitted he didn’t realize his brother was the star of the film.

If you missed it, Macaulay also recreated his iconic after shave scene from the first movie in a surprising way. See it here!

'Home Alone' Director Slams Disney+ For Rebooting The Movie Into A Television Series: 'What's The Point?'

The director of Home Alone has an unpopular opinion about Disney+’s upcoming series.

Chris Columbus opened up to Insider about the bold move of rebooting the instant Christmas classic movie that came out in 1990, and revealed he’s not a fan of the idea of rebooting it for a series at all.

“It’s a waste of time as far as I’m concerned. What’s the point?” he shared. “I’m a firm believer that you don’t remake films that have had the longevity of Home Alone.”

Chris continued on saying that “you’re not going to create lightning in a bottle again. It’s just not going to happen. So why do it? It’s like doing a paint-by-numbers version of a Disney animated film — a live-action version of that.”

He added, “What’s the point? It’s been done. Do your own thing. Even if you fail miserably, at least you have come up with something original.”

Disney+, like many other networks, have been fans of rebooting things of the past, like Gossip Girl, Saved By The Bell, and even The Fresh Prince of Bel Air (although the latter comes with a twist).

Home Alone, which starred Macaulay Culkin, Daniel Stern, Joe Pesci and Catherine O’Hara, made bank at the box office when it premiered and spawned two more big screen movies. There were also several made-for-tv prequels to the series as well.

Earlier this year, Macaulay started to freak people out with his Home Alone inspired face mask. See why here…

Macaulay Culkin Reacts to Updated 'Home Alone' with Hilarious Photo

Disney is working on a reboot of the Home Alone franchise and the original film’s star Macaulay Culkin reacted to the news with a hilarious post on social media.

The now 38-year-old actor shared a photo of what Kevin McCallister could be up to these days. He shared a funny photo of himself sitting on the couch looking disheveled and eating take out food while surfing the internet.

“This is what an updated Home Alone would actually look like,” he captioned the pic.

Disney CEO Bob Iger says that the company is working on reboots of some of Fox’s kid-friendly titles like Home Alone, Night at the Museum, and more following their purchase of the studio.

Home Alone's Daniel Stern Reprises His Wet Bandit in Response to Macaulay Culkin's Video!

Daniel Stern, who played Marv of the Wet Bandits in the classic Home Alone movies, is reprising his character in a funny video response to Macaulay Culkin‘s recent video.

Macaulay brought his character Kevin McCallister back and he isn’t the same lovable kid that we all know and grew up with.

Marv seems particularly alarmed by the video and he pleads with Harry (played by Joe Pesci) to come save him.

“Harry, come find me!” Daniel says in the funny clip. “I’m scared. The kid is back. I saw it. I saw on the Internet. I saw, and he’s coming for all the home invaders… Please Harry, I’m home alone and I’m scared!”
