'Enchanted' Sequel 'Disenchanted' Begins Production, Disney Reveals Full Cast List - See Who's Returning!

Disney has just revealed that Disenchanted, the sequel to Enchanted, has finally started filming and will debut next year on Disney+!

While no exact premiere date was announced, the studio did announce who will be back for film number 2.

Idina Menzel & James Marsden Are Returning 'Enchanted' Sequel, 'Disenchanted'

It was just confirmed by composer Alan Menken that two more original stars of Enchanted will be returning for the sequel, Disenchanted.

In a new interview, he revealed that not only are Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey returning, but so are Idina Menzel and James Marsden.

“Amy Adams is in it, Patrick’s in it. Idina Menzel’s in it… Jimmy Marsden. They’re in it,” Alan said, before adding that the movie is the middle of filming right now.

Idina and James played Nancy Tremaine, and Prince Edward, in the original 2007 movie, who ended up getting married in the animated realm of Andalasia.

There’s no word yet if Susan Sarandon, who played Edward’s evil stepmother Narissa, will be back as well.

The first movie grossed over $340 million worldwide and received three Oscar nominations, all in the Best Song category for Alan and Stephen Schwartz‘s songs.

Disenchanted is slated for a Disney+ premiere.

Idina Menzel & Chaka Khan Team Up For New Version of 'I'm Every Woman' For International Women's Day

Idina Menzel and Chaka Khan put a new twist on “I’m Every Woman” to celebrate 2021 International Women’s Day.

The two iconic singers teamed up with humanitarian organization CARE for their new campaign for the annual day, which celebrates the strength, resilience and leadership of women around the world throughout the month of March.

“I am honored to lend my voice to celebrate and inspire women on this International Women’s Day,” Chaka shared in a statement about the bold version of her 1978 song.

She adds, “I hope our rendition of ‘I’m Every Woman’ sheds light on the incredible strength of empowered women — women who are changing the world by leading their communities. We especially pay tribute to the female heroes who have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 this past year.”

“I am so thrilled to be a part of this hopeful celebration of strength for International Women’s Day,” Idina added in her own statement. “Our version of ‘I’m Every Woman’ is a beautiful recognition of the power in every woman, especially the heroes on the frontlines who have been working tirelessly this past year to keep us safe and healthy.”

CARE’s campaign will include a weekly #IMEVERYWOMAN Virtual Conversation Series, with a speaker lineup that starts THIS Wednesday at 3/2c.

Taye Diggs Just Said the Sweetest Thing About Ex-Wife Idina Menzel

Taye Diggs said the sweetest thing about his ex-wife Idina Menzel while being interview on the latest episode of The Drew Barrymore Show!

The 50-year-old actor was on the talk show to promote the new season of The CW’s All American and he was asked about raising his 11-year-old son Walker amid the pandemic.

Taye also discussed the lasting impact of his Broadway show Rent, where he met Idina in the mid-1990s.

“Walker’s mother, Idina, Idina Menzel, it’s been really great. I love the fact that I was there at the beginning,” Taye said. “She made history in that show and continues to make history with her singing and what not, and to know that I was right there, I love sharing that with my son. Like, ‘Daddy was there, when mommy, when the world first listened to her.’ So that’s cool as well.”

Taye also revealed his current relationship status. He said, “I’m swinging and single baby.”

'Cinderella' Director Shares Photo of Camila Cabello & Idina Menzel on Set & Says There's 'No Villains in This Movie'

The upcoming live-action Cinderella, starring Camila Cabello and Idina Menzel, is currently in production, and the director just shared a behind-the-scenes snap from the set on Sunday (September 27) – as well as an interesting fact about the new movie.

11 of Broadway's Elphabas Sang 'Defying Gravity' Together & The Ending Is Truly Epic (Video)

Shoshana Bean did something pretty epic for the virtual concert fundraiser she organized to support the high school she attended!

The Broadway star and singer was the second actress to play Elphaba in the musical Wicked and she gathered 10 other actresses who played the role to sing the act one finale number “Defying Gravity” with her.

Shoshana and the ten other women – Idina Menzel, Stephanie J. Block, Eden Espinosa, Jessica Vosk, Lindsay Mendez, Alexia Khadime, Julia Murney, Rachel Tucker, Kerry Ellis, and Lindsay Pearce – each sang a snippet from the song and then they all performed the final “ahhh” one after another.

The concert also featured performances from Cynthia Erivo, Jeremy Jordan, and student performers from across the Beaverton School District.

Idina Menzel & Megan Hilty Sing Wicked's 'For Good' for the Class of 2020

Can you believe that it has been almost 17 years since Wicked first premiered on Broadway?

The show’s Tony-winning original Elphaba, Idina Menzel, has reunited with Megan Hilty, who was the understudy for Glinda while Idina starred in the show, for a performance of “For Good.”

The performance was dedicated to the Class of 2020 amid all of the graduations that are happening via Zoom due to the pandemic.

“To the class of 2020; the world needs you now more than ever 💚. We hope you now help make a change, for good. Congratulations to you all,” Megan captioned the video on her Instagram account.

Megan took over the role of Glinda on Broadway on May 31, 2005 and she played the role for a full year in New York City. She then reprised the part in productions around the country.
