Could There Be an 'It Chapter Three'? Director Weighs In

It Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti is weighing in on the possibility of a third movie in the series, and it’s looking unlikely.

“I think it’s a good thing. This is the conclusion of the story between the Losers versus Pennywise. This is the end. At the end, there’s a conclusion, there’s a resolution,” Andy said.

He did, however, keep in vague, and did add that the origin story of Pennywise the Clown (played by Bill Skarsgard) hasn’t been addressed.

“Mythology is something that always has opportunities to explore. It has been on Earth for millions of years. He’s been in contact with humans for hundreds of years, every 27 years. So you can imagine the amount of material,” Andy added.
