Netflix has announced eight new cast members for the upcoming fourth season of Stranger Things, which is one of the most popular shows on the streaming service.

Season four had begun production right when the pandemic began and filming was paused until the end of September. While all of the plot details are still being kept secret, character descriptions for the new cast members reveal some interesting things.

We previously learned in the season four teaser that David Harbour‘s character Hopper survived at the end of season three and he’s now being held prisoner in the Soviet Union.

It was also previously revealed that that season four premiere episode will be titled “The Hellfire Club” and we have some more insight into the club thanks to one of the character descriptions.

A psychiatric hospital will be a setting for the new season and two new characters have ties to the hospital.

Godfrey Gao is being remembered by his co-stars after his shocking death.

Jamie Campbell Bower took to Instagram on to mourn the death of his The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones co-star.

“our friend. Heartbroken,” Jamie captioned the below photo.

Godfrey and Jamie starred in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which was released in 2013.

It was recently reported that Godfrey had suddenly died at the young age of 35 after he collapsed while filming the variety show Chase Me in China.

Our thoughts are with Godfrey Gao‘s loved ones during this difficult time.

The Game of Thrones prequel is coming together!

The main cast of the upcoming HBO prequel pilot was revealed as of Tuesday (January 8).

Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp and Toby Regbo are all series regulars, joining the previously announced Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse.

S.J. Clarkson is set to direct and serve as executive producer.

Plot details for the upcoming prequel are being kept a secret. That said, we know that it “chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend–it’s not the story we think we know.”

It will also take place 1,000 years before Game of Thrones.
