Jane Levy Hits Back at 'Don't Breathe' Director's Claims About Why She's Not in the Sequel

Jane Levy is speaking out in response to Don’t Breathe director Fede Alvarez‘s claims about why she did not return for the sequel.

The 31-year-old actress, who most recently starred in the just-canceled NBC series Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, led the cast of the hit 2016 horror film Don’t Breathe.

The only cast member who is returning for Don’t Breathe 2, which hits theaters next month, is Stephen Lang. He plays Norman Nordstrom, aka The Blind Man.

Fede wrote and directed the first movie and he returned as the writer of the sequel, though he handed off directing duties to first-time director Rodo Sayagues. He also directed Jane in the 2013 horror film Evil Dead.

'Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist' Creator Reveals What You Can Expect to Happen in Season 2

Austin Winsberg, the creator and showrunner of the NBC series Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, is opening up about what you can expect for the upcoming second season.

The freshman series was just renewed for season two and Austin says that the show might explore the origin of Zoey’s powers and why she got them in the first place.

In the series, Zoey (Jane Levy) suddenly starts to hear the innermost wants, thoughts and desires of the people around her – her family, co-workers and complete strangers – through popular songs.

“I think that it’s very easy to get into the mythology of it all and like, ‘Why her? Why the powers? How did it happen?’” Austin told TVLine. “I just think that there are a lot of mythology questions that could be asked.”

“I feel like that’s something that we can continue to explore, and I like kind of leaning into the mythology a little bit, but not at the expense of the human dynamics and characters and relationships, which I think are more important,” Austin added. “So that’s something that I want to continue to explore and play with, going forward, and perhaps that could become a bigger part of the storyline in Season 2.”

Jane Levy Says Samantha Ware Was the Only One Who Checked On Her During a Humiliating Moment On Set

Jane Levy is speaking out to praise her former co-star Samantha Ware‘s character following the actress’ revelations about what happened on the set of Glee.

Samantha came forward with allegations against the show’s star Lea Michele and the way the actress treated her on set. Just the other day, she gave a tell-all interview in which she detailed what went down.

Jane worked with Samantha on the Netflix limited series What/If and she opened up about an incident that happened on their show. When a director humiliated Jane in front of everyone, Samantha was the only person who checked in on her to see if she was okay.

“during a camera test a director yelled in front of the entire crew that my breasts looked too small & demanded wardrobe get me a padded bra. I went and changed and he said ‘much better!’ The only person who acknowledged my humiliation & checked in on me was @Sammie_Ware,” Jane tweeted.

Jane now stars on NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, which was just renewed for season two.
