An entertainment journalist is opening up about the touching email he once received from Jason Sudeikis, which proves that the actor is just like his character Ted Lasso in real life.

For those who don’t watch the award-winning Apple TV+ comedy series, Ted is known for being one of the nicest guys around and for having a positive impact on the people who come into his life.

Mike Ryan, a writer for Uproxx, has written an article about his interactions with Jason over the years and the moment they shared together back in 2017.

Mike‘s father passed away suddenly from a heart attack and just a few months later, he was interviewing Jason about his movie Kodachrome. The film is about Jason‘s character making amends with his dying father.

“When I interviewed Sudeikis for that film… I had mentioned that a lot of the themes in his movie had, obviously, hit pretty close to home,” Mike said. “Like I said, I was in a pretty lousy place. There’s no way Jason Sudeikis could have known that, at that moment, I needed a pep talk. Or, well, maybe it was pretty obvious from vibe I gave off in the interview and I just didn’t realize it. So later that day I got an email from Jason Sudeikis and it was … pretty inspirational.”

The cast of Ted Lasso stepped out for the season two premiere in Los Angeles!

Juno Temple debuted her new pink hair while walking the carpet with co-star Hannah Waddingham on Thursday night (July 15) at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Calif.

Other cast members in attendance at the event included Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Cristo Fernandez, Jeremy Swift, and Moe Jeudy-Lamour.

Ted Lasso‘s second season premieres on July 23 on Apple TV+. The first season just broke an Emmys record by becoming the freshman comedy series with the most nominations ever thanks to its 20 noms.

Jason Sudeikis is showing his support for the English soccer players who were victims of racial abuse after the Euro 2020 final.

The 45-year-old actor wore a shirt that said “Jadon & Marcus & Bukayo” while walking the red carpet at the Ted Lasso season two premiere on Thursday (July 15) at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Calif.

Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Bukayo Saka are players on the England team who all missed crucial shots during the country’s loss against Italy. They received some awful racial abuse, which led to Prince William condemning the attacks in a rare tweet.

For those who don’t know, Ted Lasso is an Apple TV+ comedy series revolving around soccer and it takes place in England. Jason was photographed on the carpet with Apple Head of Worldwide Video Jamie Erlicht and Apple Head of Worldwide Video Zack Van Amburg.

In a new interview, Jason broke his silence about the reason behind his split with longtime love Olivia Wilde.

Jason Sudeikis has never spoken publicly about his breakup from his longtime partner Olivia Wilde, until now.

In fact, the 45-year-old Ted Lasso star clarified exactly when he and Olivia split, which was a question many had due to her relationship with Harry Styles which went public in January of 2021. Olivia and Harry had been filming Don’t Worry Darling together in late 2020 when they met.

Jason Sudeikis just made a rare public appearance with his two kids by his side!

The 45-year-old actor brought his seven-year-old son Otis and four-year-old daughter Daisy to the Chicago Cubs game on Friday night (July 9) in Chicago, Ill.

Jason threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the game while Otis and Daisy stood on the pitcher’s mound behind him. For those who don’t know, he shares the adorable kids with his ex Olivia Wilde.

“Ted Lasso both pitches and plays darts left handed,” the MLB Twitter account jokingly wrote. The second season of the Apple TV+ series premieres on July 23!

While Jason spends time with the kids in the U.S., Olivia is currently abroad with her boyfriend Harry Styles and they were spotted enjoying a romantic vacation in Italy.
