Dolly Parton is bringing Christmas to Netflix!

The 74-year-old entertainer’s song “Christmas On The Square” – off of her upcoming holiday album A Holly Dolly Christmas – will be turned into a movie on the streaming site.

Dolly will produce the movie, and star in it alongside Christine Baranski, Jenifer Lewis, Treat Williams, and Jeanine Mason. Grey’s Anatomy star Debbie Allen will be directing the movie.

Christmas On The Square follows Christine as Regina, “a rich and nasty woman who returns to her small hometown after her father’s death to evict everyone and sell the land to a mall developer — right before Christmas. However, after listening to stories of the local townsfolk, reconnecting with an old love, and accepting the guidance of an actual angel (Parton), Regina starts to have a change of heart,” according to THR.

Christmas On The Square will be released on Netflix on November 22!

Kerry Washington, Billy Porter, and Janelle Monae hit the carpet while attending the 2020 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon on Thursday (February 6) at the Four Seasons’ Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are commemorating 50 years of the Los Angeles LGBT Center!

The Grace and Frankie co-stars stepped out at the center’s Gold Anniversary Vanguard Celebration on Saturday night (September 21) at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

They were also joined at the event by Kathy Griffin, Jenifer Lewis and Brigitte Nielsen.

Guest at the event enjoyed dinner and entertainment, including a performance from Sia.

Over the past 50 years, the Los Angeles LGBT Center has cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBT individuals and families. It currently provides services for more LGBT people than any other organization in the world.

The 37-year-old A Star Is Born and RuPaul’s Drag Race star and the 62-year-old Black-ish star looked ravishing on the red carpet at the 2019 Academy Awards on Sunday (February 24) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

A Star Is Born is nominated for eight awards at the evening’s ceremony, including Best Picture.

The Oscars are being presented without a host for the first time in 30 years. The show kicks off at 8pm EST/5pm PST on ABC.
