The upcoming 20th Century Studios horror movie The Empty Man is being released into theaters next week and the trailer was just unveiled!
The Empty Man is a supernatural horror film based on a popular series of Boom! Studios graphic novels. After a group of teens from a small Midwestern town begin to mysteriously disappear, the locals believe it is the work of an urban legend known as The Empty Man. As a retired cop investigates and struggles to make sense of the stories, he discovers a secretive group and their attempts to summon a horrific, mystical entity, and soon his life—and the lives of those close to him—are in grave danger.
James Badge Dale, Marin Ireland, Stephen Root, Ron Canada, Robert Aramayo, Joel Courtney and Sasha Frolova star in the movie, which was written and directed by David Prior.
The Empty Man will be released in theaters on October 23 and tickets are on sale now!
The Kissing Booth‘s Joel Courtney, 24, has married his girlfriend Mia Scholink, 23, in an outdoor ceremony in Phoenix, Arizona on September 27!
″I am just so thrilled to be married,″ Joel told People. ″It’s one of those things where as much planning and as much anticipation goes into the day, I’m so excited to be married to my best friend.”
“My parents knew Mia’s parents before either one of us were born,” he added. “My dad did some web development work for her dad’s business, and they met through church and by the time Mia and I were born, we hung out for three or four years running around in diapers and play dates — not just us, but our siblings. There are multiple photos where all five of the Scholink kids and all four of the Courtney kids are sitting around a table eating sandwiches and we’re all under the age of 14. It was so cool.”
″We reconnected in 2015 and started dating in 2017. We dated for a year and we broke up for a little bit of time and then started dating again in 2019 and it moved really quickly after that,” he added.

The director of The Kissing Booth 2 is opening up about how they filmed that big dance competition scene at the end and what happened with the extras on set.
In the smash hit Netflix movie, Joey King‘s character Elle enters a dance competition in hopes of winning tuition money for college and she partners up with Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez), a new kid at school who is also an incredible dancer.
Marco also becomes a threat to Elle’s relationship with Noah (Jacob Elordi), who is off at school at Harvard the entire time.
Writer and director Vince Marcello told Variety, “The concept of the competition being something that would feed her ability to go to Harvard or a higher tuition school became a conflict of that. The guy that is helping her make the money is also the guy threatening her relationship.”
Vince says that Joey and Taylor rehearsed their dance routine in Los Angeles before they filmed it in front of a live audience on set.
“When Marco and Elle came out to shoot that, we had 2500 extras for that shooting day. The second they walked in, that crowd became a full-on audience. They were watching this dance happen with no idea what’s happening in the movie. When Marco and Elle were rehearsing it, the audience was booing because they didn’t want her kissing this other guy. We were backstage and shocked,” Vince revealed. “But after a couple of takes, Jacob arrived, and as soon as he arrived, it was the strangest thing, because it felt like we were watching this moment as he realizes something is going on between them.”
Taylor recently addressed the rumors that he and Joey are now dating in real life.
The cast of The Kissing Booth 2 just confirmed that a third film is on the way – and it has already been filmed!
Joey King, Joel Courtney, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Meganne Young announced the exciting news while participating in a Fan Fest event on YouTube on Sunday (July 26).
The five actors spelled out the clues via a game of “Incoherent” and the final clue was The Kissing Booth 3.
The latest movie in the franchise ends on a huge cliffhanger and fans are so excited to find out what happens in the next movie.
“I want to thank the fans for their tremendous support… the explosion of love has been so real. It’s because of everyone on here that all of this has happened,” Joey said while announcing the news on the live stream.
The Kissing Booth 3 will be released in 2021 and the movie was filmed back-to-back with the sequel last summer. The cast said that on some days they would shoot scenes for both of the films!

But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year. She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee (Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Perez). When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl Chloe (Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs.
