Here’s your first look at Sarah Paulson as Mildred Ratched in Ryan Murphy‘s Ratched!

The show is a prequel of sorts to the iconic One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest villainess.

Here’s a synopsis: Ratched is a suspenseful drama series that tells the origin story of asylum nurse Mildred Ratched. In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. On a clandestine mission, Mildred presents herself as the perfect image of what a dedicated nurse should be, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred’s stylish exterior belies a growing darkness that has long been smoldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born.

The cast also includes Cynthia Nixon as Gwendolyn Briggs, Judy Davis as Nurse Betsy Bucket, Sharon Stone as Lenore Osgood, Jon Jon Briones as Dr. Richard Hanover, Finn Wittrock as Edmund Tolleson, Charlie Carver as Huck, Alice Englert as Dolly, Amanda Plummer as Louise, Corey Stoll as Charles Wainwright, Sophie Okonedo as Charlotte and Vincent D’Onofrio as Gov. George Wilburn.

All eight episodes will premiere on Netflix on September 18.

The 53-year-old actor previously played the role of the engineer in the recent Broadway revival and Red is playing the role on the national tour.

Jon Jon also appeared as Modesto Cunanan in Ryan Murphy‘s American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace and he’ll soon appear in the new series Ratched.

Also stepping out on the red carpet were Emily Bautista and Anthony Festa, who play Kim and Chris on the tour.

Miss Saigon is currently playing at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre through August 11. The tour will be traveling around the country through June 2020.

Ryan Murphy‘s next show is Ratched, starring Sarah Paulson, and he just announced 10 more actors joining the star-studded cast!

The series is a prequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest starring Sarah as Nurse Ratched. The upcoming Netflix series already has a two-season order.

“Ratched on Netflix starts shooting in a couple weeks. On behalf of myself and Ms. Sarah Catharine Paulson who plays the title role and is also a big fancy producer on it, we are thrilled to announce our amazing cast…a true murderers’ row of talent. So many of these actors are supremely talented folks who Sarah and I have both longed to work with,” Ryan wrote on Instagram.

“The Ratched Principal Players, in alphabetical order: Jon Jon Briones, Charlie Carver, Judy Davis, Harriet Harris, Cynthia Nixon, Hunter Parrish, Amanda Plummer, Corey Stoll, Sharon Stone, and Finn Witrock. More to come, but come on…Sarah, Cynthia, Judy, Amanda and Sharon, all doing scenes together? I cannot WAIT,” he said.

A slew of production photos have been released from the limited engagement, currently running in Los Angeles. They are starring alongside former Miss Saigon star Jon Jon Briones.

The show features such Broadway classics as “Big Spender,” “If My Friends Could See Me Now,” “Where Am I Going,” and “There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This.”

Laura is best known for starring as Elle Woods in Broadway’s Legally Blonde while you might recognize Barrett from playing tech geek Eric Beale on NCIS: Los Angeles.

Reprise 2.0′s inaugural production is running now through July 1 at UCLA’s Freud Playhouse.

Laura Bell Bundy and Barrett Foa are set to star in the inaugural Reprise 2.0 production of the classic musical Sweet Charity this summer in Los Angeles!

Laura, best known for her Tony-nominated work in the musical Legally Blonde, will play the title character while Barrett, who currently stars on NCIS: Los Angeles, will play Oscar.

Jon Jon Briones, who starred on Broadway recently in Miss Saigon and played Andrew Cunanan’s father in The Assassination of Gianni Versace, will play Herman.

Broadway vet Kathleen Marshall will direct and choreograph the production, which is set to run from June 20 to July 1 at UCLA’s Freud Playhouse.

Tony nominee Carmen Cusack will lead a production of Victor/Victoria for Reprise 2.0 later in the year!

Edgar Ramirez and Darren Criss teamed up for the For Your Consideration celebration of FX’s American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace!

The actors suited up for the event held at DGA Theater on Sunday (March 19) in Los Angeles.

They were joined by their co-stars Cody Fern and Ricky Martin.

Cody rocked a leopard-print shirt with his black tux; Edgar looked dapper in a brown corduroy suit with a black, grey, white, and brown striped sweater; Darren wore a tan suit with a white button-up; and Ricky looked suave in all black.

Also in attendance were cast members Judith Light, Jon Jon Briones, Max Greenfield, and Tom Rob Smith.

The series follows the murder of the famous Italian designer in Miami Beach back in July 1997. Edgar plays Gianni Versace, and Darren portrays killer Andrew Cunanan.

The 21-year-old actress is nominated for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her work in Miss Saigon, a role she has been playing for the last few years. She was joined at the event by her co-star Jon Jon Briones and the show’s original Kim, Lea Salonga.

Eva was discovered when she was only 17 and performing at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmys. Months later, she had landed the role of Kim in the London production of Miss Saigon and now she’s starring in it on Broadway!

Make sure to watch Eva‘s performance of “I’d Give My Life for You” tonight on the Tonys.
