Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott have been together for a full year and the two are celebrating on social media.

The 40-year-old actress and 42-year-old contractor and HGTV star went public with their relationship during a taping of Dancing With the Stars, after rumors swirled about their relationship.

“How time flies when you’re having the best time of your life,” Jonathan wrote on his Instagram. “Who would’ve known that exactly one year ago my life would change forever. When I count my blessings, I count you twice 🥰.”

Zooey added, “One year ago today I met this kind, caring, hilarious, generous, creative, nerdy, handsome and all around incredible human.”

She went on, I am so grateful for every smile, kiss, hug, snuggle, laugh, scrabble game, escape room, breakfast, lunch and dinner we share together. Even during the weirdest year for humanity I want a million billion more with you. 🥰.”

Most recently, it was revealed that Jonathan had actually never watched Zooey‘s show, New Girl, and Zooey threw him a themed birthday party!

Jonathan Scott had a great birthday under quarantine all thanks to Zooey Deschanel!

For his 42nd birthday, the 40-year-old actress threw Jonathan and his twin brother Drew Scott a virtual Game of Thrones-inspired Murder Mystery party over Zoom.

“All is well in the kingdom this eve as we played a Game Of Thrones inspired Murder Mystery with friends and family. SO fun,” Jonathan wrote along side a couple screenshots from the call. “Thank you @zooeydeschanel for setting it all up. You’re the best.”

For the party, all the guests dressed up as characters from GoT, with Zooey and Jonathan going as “Queen Cersei Lamester” and “Snobb Snark.”

Jonathan Scott revealed that he did not ever watch his girlfriend Zooey Deschanel‘s show New Girl until they began dating.

“I remember hearing She & Him songs on the radio or at a restaurant and I never knew that was you. It’s the same with New Girl. I had never seen New Girl until we started dating,” Jonathan said while making an appearance on the podcast At Home With Linda and Drew Scott.

“Which, by the way, I finished the series yesterday,” he added. “True love is driving five hours only to see your love for one, or watching their whole show.”

Jonathan Scott is opening up about life in quarantine with his girlfriend Zooey Deschanel!

The 41-year-old Property Brothers and Celebrity IOU star says that Zooey has cut and colored his hair while they are stuck inside together.

“It has not been difficult at all. It’s actually been a blessing,” Jonathan said during an appearance on The Talk on Monday (April 13). “I’m working on the road and filming on the road, so now being here and being together all the time has been fantastic. If I had to pick anyone on the face of the planet to be isolated with, she’s the one. Because she’s an amazing cook; she’s a musician, so there is so much music in this house. She was playing the piano last night. We were singing together.”

He added, “And, she also cut and colored my hair just for you guys. So, she did, like, a better job than most of the salons I’ve ever been to do. So I’m actually really blessed to be enjoying our time together. And she’s pretty wonderful.”

Brad Pitt was the first guest on the new HGTV series Celebrity IOU, in which the Property Brothers are joined by celebs to give the unsung heroes in their lives a home makeover.

The Oscar-winning actor decided to surprise Jean Black, his longtime makeup artist, by renovating her guesthouse while she was away on vacation. Brad even teared up while surprising her!

Celebrity IOU is hosted by Drew and Jonathan Scott and they opened up about how “down to earth” Brad was on the shoot.

“And at the very end he remembered every single person’s name on the production crew and on the construction crew,” Jonathan said. “He remembered everybody and wanted to make sure that they knew how grateful he was for what was happening. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.”

The 40-year-old New Girl actress and the 41-year-old HGTV star took over HGTV’s Instagram on Sunday (April 5) for a fun reading of his children’s book Builder Brothers: Big Plans.

The cute couple both took turns reading the book as they sat at home while self-isolating during the ongoing health pandemic.

Last year, Zooey and sister Emily Deschanel along with Jonathan and twin brother Drew Scott took part in a segment of Carpool Karaoke, which marked the first time Zooey and Jonathan ever met, sparking their romance!

Brad Pitt has teamed up with Property Brothers for their brand new HGTV show, Celebrity IOU.

Drew and Jonathan Scott have six big name celebs that they’re working with for the new series, which sees the twins team up with famous guests to work on special renovations for people in said guests’ lives.

Each episode will focus on a different celebrity guest and end with a surprise reveal of their renovation.

Brad, Viola Davis, Melissa McCarthy, Rebel Wilson, Michael Buble and Jeremy Renner will also be featured on the show.

“Jean’s [Black] been with him for over 30 years. This is somebody who’s been with him through thick and thin,” Jonathan said of Brad‘s makeup artist. Drew adding, “When you see them together, it’s almost like two kids, really funny together.”

Jonathan also fondly remembered Melissa‘s episode, who is “so funny during demolition as well. There is nothing she would back away from.”

Celebrity IOU will premiere on Monday, April 13, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV.
