The Late Late Show host and his wife were seen leaving their romantic dinner date at Nobu on Saturday night (August 15) in Malibu, Calif.

The two were seen wearing protective face masks amid the pandemic. James wore a purple sweatshirt featuring a tiger, while Julia wore a pretty black dress.

James and fellow late night TV host Stephen Colbert recently made their respective returns to studios to begin filming amid the pandemic. Both shows had filmed remotely at home since production shutdown began in March due to the global health crisis.

There has been speculation regarding James Corden potentially replacing this host amid controversy…

Just recently, James reacted to YouTube pranksters Josh Pieters and Archie Manners, who pretended to be him in order to score an interview with another YouTube star.

“I can’t help getting the overwhelming feeling that frankly I’m not as important to this job as I maybe thought I was,” he shared during the opening of his own show earlier in the week.

He joked later on that he “will not be replaced with sound bites. In fact, I’m going to walk off right now to just prove how important I am to this show and you cannot do it without me.”

Josh and Archie are the same YouTubers who scored an interview with Carole Baskin, too.

James Corden and his wife Julia Carey happily strike a pose on the red carpet while attending the National Portrait Gallery’s 2019 November Gala held at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery on Sunday (November 17) in Washington, DC.

The 41-year-old Late Late Show host was joined at the event by Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife Vanessa Nadal, Kathy Bates, Gayle King, Mia Moretti, designer Prabal Gurung, Clive Davis, photographer Annie Leibovitz, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, and Jeff Bezos with his son, Preston Bezos.

Anna Wintour was honored with the Portrait of a Nation prize Sunday at the National Portrait Gallery. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Earth, Wind & Fire, Jeff Bezos, Indra Nooyi and Frances Arnold were also recipients honored at the 2019 American Portrait Gala.

“I am beyond proud that the single most influential person in American fashion is an immigrant from the United Kingdom,” James expressed during his speech for Anna (via USA Today). “The most iconic, female immigrant since the Statue of Liberty herself.”

The duo hit the red carpet at the event on Saturday evening (September 14) at The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Jimmy brought his wife Molly McNearney while James, who is up for several awards, was joined by wife Julia Carey.

James‘ Late Late Show is nominated for Best Interactive Program and Best Technical Direction while their Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special is up for Best Creative Achievement in Interactive Media.

Other attendees at the event included Billy Eichner, Anthony Anderson, Wanda Sykes, her wife Alex, Will Arnett and Nick Kroll.

While the Creative Arts Emmys take place this weekend, the Primetime Emmys will take place on September 22 at 8 PM ET.
