Julie Chen Moonves Will Return as Host for 'Big Brother 22'
Julie Chen Moonves is returning to host Big Brother.
The former The Talk co-host inked a deal to host Season 22 of the hit CBS series, which is due to air in Summer of 2020 according to Deadline on Thursday (September 5).
“I hear that any spillover to the former CBS News reporter from the controversy surrounding her spouse and former CBS overlord Leslie Moonves and his fall from power last year after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct emerged last fall has long since evaporated,” the report reads.
Season 21 of Big Brother is set to conclude with a finale on September 25. The show was renewed back in May.
It is not yet known if Celebrity Big Brother will also make a return.

Big Brother Season 21 House Theme Revealed!
Big Brother is coming back later in June, and the house theme has been revealed!
The show will debut with a two-night premiere event on June 25 and June 26 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Julie Chen Moonves returns to host.
“Nothing says summer quite like camping! And just like camp, this season will be full of adventure, fun and challenges and an unexpected twist that will rock the house, forcing the Houseguests to rethink how they play the game,” said execs Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan of the camping-themed house.
The season will be filled with “surprises and camp-themed competitions. Houseguests beware: with the return of Zingbot, marshmallows won’t be the only thing getting roasted this season.”
The contemporary A-frame-styled cabin lodge includes a 23-foot tall triangular window backlit by hundreds of LED units, illuminating a lush forest right outside the window.
The HOH room is described as the definition of “glamping”: “from the Moroccan-styled lanterns to the rich oriental carpets piled on top of one another, the luxurious amenities are apparent. Adorned with a true canvas tent built inside the room and topped off with a hand-carved Mexican headboard and contemporary furniture, this HOH bedroom proves camping doesn’t have to be about roughing it.”
