Laura Dern catches up with friend Kate Capshaw while out in her neighborhood in Los Angeles on Friday (May 15).

The 53-year-old actress wore a black mask while meeting up with Kate, before heading back to her car to head home.

In a recent chat with Reese Witherspoon, Laura revealed that she just recently tried tequila for the first time.

“I, like Renata, pretty much drink wine,” Laura said, pointing out the similarity with her Big Little Lies character. “That’s it, my whole life. I’ve never had cocktails, guys.”

However, someone had sent her a bottle of tequila and she decided to try the liquor during quarantine.

Laura revealed just why she hadn’t tried tequila before now:“I saw a worm in somebody’s tequila and I was like, ’These people are crazy. I’m never going to drink tequila,’ and that was it.”

Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw are getting some air with celebrity friends Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley.

The married couples were seen taking a socially distant stroll with each other on Saturday (April 4) in Los Angeles.

The couples strolled together amid the global health crisis as they walked around the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in the afternoon, taking an hour long walk while deep in conversation.

The CDC‘s current recommendation is to “continue to keep about 6 feet between yourself and others.”

Sadly, earlier in the day it was confirmed that the longtime puppeteer of Sesame Street‘s Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch had passed away.

Bruce Springsteen and Steven Spielberg buddy up in Portofino, Italy!

The 70-year-old “Streets of Philadelphia” singer and the 72-year-old filmmaker were spotted vacationing together this week.

Bruce was joined by his wife Patti Scialfa, and Steven by his wife Kate Capshaw as well as his dog.

The group relaxed on their boat, did some sightseeing on foot, and dined al fresco for lunch on Thursday (October 3).

The 39-year-old actress stepped out in a chic in a black dress as she was honored at the event with the 2019 Courage Award for her commitment to raising awareness and fund for breast cancer research.

Also hitting the pink carpet was fellow honoree Gabrielle Union – who was given the Unsung Hero Award for her charitable contributions and philanthropic efforts to help educate women about breast cancer.

The ladies also posed with a few of the event’s honorary chairs including Rita Wilson and Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw.

Other stars at the party included Demi Moore, Paris Hilton, Sharon Stone, Ken Jeong, Sara Foster, designers Tom Ford and Monique Lhuillier along with Lori Loughlin and her daughters Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli.

The Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, supports innovative research, education and outreach directed at the development of more effective approaches to the early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of women’s cancers.

Tom Hanks is all smiles as he poses in-between Oprah and his wife Rita Wilson at the 2018 Ambassadors For Humanity Gala Benefiting USC Shoah Foundation held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday (November 5) in Beverly Hills.

Steven Spielberg, founder of USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education, and his wife Kate Capshaw presented Tom, 62, and Rita, also 62, with the Institute’s 2018 Ambassadors for Humanity Award.

Also in attendance was Tom Ford,
Martin Short who hosted, and Melissa Etheridge who hit the stage for a special performance at the event. “We don’t know what’s going to happen [on election day],” Tom said during his speech, “but we do know that we have an engine, a motor, that gives us the guide to join in the mission of Shoah Foundation and form a more perfect union.”

Tom and Rita are champions of many vital efforts, they have been steadfast supporters of USC Shoah Foundation for more than two decades, helping to further the Institute’s mission to develop empathy, understanding and respect through eyewitness testimony.
