Kate Mara is staying with FX and will star in another show on the network, TV Line is reporting.
The 37-year-old actress will team up with Brian Tyree Henry for Class of ’09.
The limited series follows a class of FBI agents in “a near future where the U.S. criminal justice system has been transformed by artificial intelligence,” according to the official logline.

Kate Mara has a new hair color!
The 38-year-old actress put her short blonde hair on display while attending a For Your Consideration event for her FX on Hulu series A Teacher on Monday (June 7) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.
Kate was joined at the event by her co-star Nick Robinson and the show’s creator Hannah Fidell.
A Teacher “explores the story behind the mugshot of a female high school teacher who is caught in an affair with her male student and reveals the complexities and consequences of the illegal relationships.” Kate starred as Claire, a popular young teacher at a suburban Texas high school, while Nick played Eric, an all-American high school senior.

Elizabeth Banks and Sigourney Weaver hug it out on the set Call Jane on Monday (May 17) in Hartford, Conn.
The two stars, plus Kate Mara, were seen commemorating Sigourney‘s last day on the set, where she was gifted with some flowers after she wrapped.
Via Deadline, the movie centers on Joy (played by Banks), a traditional 1960s housewife who unexpectedly falls pregnant. She then finds the Janes, an underground abortion movement led by Virginia (Weaver).
The group saves her life and gives her a sense of purpose: to help other women take control of their destinies.
Call Jane comes from writers Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi, with Robbie Brenner, Kevin McKeon and David Wulf producing. Phyllis Nagy will direct.

Kate Mara is opening up to explain why her FX on Hulu series A Teacher will not be getting a second season.
The 37-year-old actress starred in the series as a high-school teacher who was in an inappropriate relationship with her student, played by Nick Robinson. In the finale, the story flashed forward to 10 years later and saw the student confront the teacher about what happened between them.
Some fans have been hoping that they’d get to see what happens with the characters moving forward, but Kate says the series was always intended to be a limited series.

Kate Mara is opening up about what life is like in her family, which has strong ties to two rival football teams.
If you didn’t know, Kate‘s dad’s family co-owns the New York Giants while her mom’s family co-owns the Pittsburgh Steelers.
During an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which aired on Monday (December 7), she was asked about what game days are like in her family.
“It’s complicated. If everyone’s winning, then it’s really happy. But you know, at the beginning of the season, it was pretty dark for the Giants. And now, all of a sudden, we’re in first place, which is completely mind blowing. But it’s a stressful situation, you know, constantly,” Kate said. “But, it’s also really amazing, because, you know, someone’s most likely going to win, right? One of the teams is going to win.”

Kate Mara is looking back on that itty bitty role she played in Iron Man 2.
During a new episode of Collider Ladies Night, the 37-year-old actress spoke about the small part and how Marvel teased her about how it could’ve become something bigger, but didn’t in the long run.
If you didn’t know, Kate played a US Marshal who serves Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) a subpoena.
“I had a meeting with Jon Favreau for that and they had said to me, ‘It’s a very, very small part, but it’s with Robert Downey and Jon, and it’ll be really fun. And a lot of times they bring these characters back into bigger more substantial roles,’” Kate explained. “It wasn’t a promise, but it was definitely something that was hinted at to me.”
She adds “that’s the reason why I even took the meeting was because I thought, ‘Well, if there’s a chance of it, why not spend an evening working with Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau? Great. I love them both. They’re amazing. It’ll be a good experience.’”
“That’s exactly what it ended up being,” Kate shared. “It ended up being nothing more than that, but it really was fun. And we were shooting until like four in the morning. But yeah, it’s a weird cameo that turned into really nothing. But I don’t mind!”
Kate has been looking back on a few other of her memorable roles, like her part in Fantastic Four, which wasn’t the best experience for her.

The 37-year-old actress opened up about the 2015 film in an interview with the Television Academy.

The Josh Trank-directed film, which was widely panned and has a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, featured Kate playing the Invisible Woman.
“I had a horrible experience on Fantastic Four. I’ve never talked about it before. I married one of my costars, so I don’t regret doing that movie at all. But do I wish I had responded differently to certain things? Yes, definitely,” she said of marrying Jamie Bell, who played The Thing.
“The fact of the matter is that my two horrendous experiences with directors were male directors. Have I not gotten along with a female director? Absolutely. And was it not the greatest work experience? Sure. But there was never a time that I felt, ‘This is happening because I’m a woman.’ Where with the male directors, it 100 percent was only happening with me; it was a power dynamic thing. And on both of my bad experiences, the movies were 95 percent men and I was the only woman in the movie.”
She also spoke about it in an interview with Collider.
“I think that the thing that I always go back to on that one is that I think I should have followed my instincts more. Like when my gut was telling me, ‘You probably shouldn’t let that slide, what that person just said,’ or if you’re feeling a certain way about what an energy is like and how that is affecting your performance. You’re being paid to do a certain thing and if something is in the way of that, you have the right to speak up and say, ‘I’m actually not able to do what I am here to do because of X, Y and Z,’” she said.
“I think that speaking up is something that I think that we all probably learn it over and over again, to follow your instincts and if you’re feeling a certain thing that is uneasy or whatever, there’s a reason for it. And I don’t regret doing it at all, but do regret not having stood up for myself. I regret that for sure.”
She also said viewers shouldn’t feel comfortable watching her new series.
