Katherine Schwarzenegger is celebrating her first Christmas a mom!

The 31-year-old author took to her Instagram on Friday (December 11) to reflect on welcoming daughter Lyla with husband Chris Pratt during the pandemic.

“While this Holiday season will look different for us all, this little ornament my sister Christina got us, and the experience of our daughters first Christmas is a big silver lining of joy and light for me,” Katherine wrote. “2020 has been a crazy year, it’s not what any of us expected; it’s been filled with a lot of challenging times and unpredictable twists and turns. It has also been a year of immense joy for those of us who have welcomed life into the world.”

Katherine and the 41-year-old actor welcomed Lyla back in August. She is the first child for the couple, while Chris shares son Jack, 8, with ex-wife Anna Faris.

“Being pregnant in a pandemic and having a baby too, was not how I expected my pregnancy and becoming a mother to go, but i couldn’t be more thrilled and grateful to have my little Lyla Maria in my life and to be able to be her mom,” Katherine continued. “Shout out to all the people who had babies this year, became pregnant, are pregnant, or are trying to get pregnant. It’s a wild time to embark on this journey of motherhood and I see you! 🙏”

Katherine Schwarzenegger, Brie and Nikki Bella are bonding over lack of sleep.

The two new moms, who welcomed Lyla Pratt (Katherine), and Matteo Chigvintsev (Nikki) earlier this year, chatted on Katherine‘s Instagram Live this week and focused in on just how tiring it is to be a mom and how they’re figuring when to take some time for themselves while raising another human.

“You definitely have moments where it’s harder some days than it is other days,” Katherine shared. “You have [days] of feeling bad with a partner or wanting to make everything good again. For me, it’s also like if you want to get so many things done, [you should] sleep when the baby sleeps. [But] I don’t know how you do that. How does anything get done that you want to get done during the day?”

She added, “It’s really hard and then you need to catch up on your sleep obviously.”

Nikki agreed, revealing she also hasn’t slept that much since welcoming Matteo, who she shares with fiance DWTS pro Artem Chigvintsev, in July.

“Aren’t you ever like, ‘How am I doing this?’” she joked.

Brie Bella also chimed in on her experience with her second child, Buddy.

“You get this FOMO of the old you — who you were before pregnancy, who you were before your child came into your life,” she said, but “you’re too embarrassed to say it out loud, ’cause then everyone’s gonna be like, ‘Oh, do you hate your baby?’ And you’re like, ‘No, I just [miss] my old life.’ ”

She goes on, “I think I was trying to keep up with my sister to not lose that part of me when I should’ve just let go and really enjoyed motherhood more with Birdie like I’m doing now with Buddy, instead of trying to just not let go of who I was before Bird came into my life.”

Nikki also touched on her own depression and anxiety struggles, saying that there are “days where I struggle…but I feel like I’m out of the dark hole. I was like on a cliff, about to be pushed over to go into a super place, but now I’m in a place that’s so much better.”

Just recently, Katherine was seen standing up for her husband, Chris Pratt, after he was labeled this by the internet.

Katherine Schwarzenegger is speaking out in response to the internet deciding that her husband Chris Pratt is the “worst Chris” in Hollywood.

A debate launched on Twitter this week and the E! News Instagram account put up a post about the viral meme.

The four Chris actors who were part of the debate included Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Chris Pine. A lot of people just assume that Pratt is a Republican and he’s constantly slammed because of that, but there’s evidence that proves it’s not true.

Katherine commented on that E! News post and wrote, “Is this really what we need? There’s so much going on in the world and people struggling in so many ways. Being mean is so yesterday. There’s enough room to love all these guys. Love is what we all need not meanness and bullying. Let’s try that.”

A source is speaking out about how Anna Faris congratulated her ex husband Chris Pratt on the birth of daughter Lyla with Katherine Schwarzenegger.

“Anna congratulated them and sent a gift,” a source told E! News. “They are on good terms and have a nice relationship. She’s happy for Jack to be a big brother and is very supportive.”

Chris Pratt just posted a message from him and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger following the birth of their baby girl!

The 41-year-old Jurassic World actor revealed that the little girl’s name is Lyla Maria.

“We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed. Love Katherine and Chris,” the couple said in a message posted on his Instagram account.

It seems that the couple decided to name their baby girl after Katherine‘s mom Maria Shriver!

Chris included these two bible quotes in his post: “Psalm 126:3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” and “Psalm 127:3-4 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have welcomed their child into the world!

The 41-year-old Jurassic World actor and the 30-year-old author are now the parents of a baby girl, according to People.

Details on the birth are still unknown at this point, but Entertainment Tonight reports that Chris‘ car was spotted arriving at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif. on Friday afternoon (August 7).

ET has a video of Katherine‘s younger brother Patrick Schwarzenegger confirming the happy news while leaving a market in Santa Barbara. He told the photographer, “They’re doing great — just got her a little gift.”

It’s also being reported that Katherine‘s family, including dad Arnold Schwarzenegger and mom Maria Shriver, were spotted visiting the family throughout this past weekend.

This is the first child for Katherine and second child for Chris, who shares a seven-year-old son named Jack with his ex-wife Anna Faris.

Just days ago, Chris shared a photo of Katherine and said she was “ready to pop.”

The 41-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy actor took to his Instagram Story on Saturday (August 1) to share a photo with his very pregnant 30-year-old wife while out on an afternoon hike.

“Ready to pop. Still don’t stop. Top of the mountain today,” Chris wrote. “Kinda grateful it didn’t go down on the trail tho to be real.”

Chris just recently returned home to Los Angeles after spending a few weeks filming the upcoming movie Jurassic World: Dominion in London.

In early July, Chris revealed that Katherine was nine pregnant, meaning they will be welcoming their baby any day now!

Chris is already dad to seven-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris.
