Broadway's 'Company' Revival Debuts First Look Photos!

A brand new production of the classic Stephen Sondheim and George Furth musical Company is coming to Broadway next week and here’s your first look at the cast in costume!

The new take on the musical features gender-swapped casting with Tony winner Katrina Lenk taking on the role of Bobbie, originally Bobby in previous productions. Patti LuPone is playing Joanne and will sing the iconic song “The Ladies Who Lunch.”

Here’s a brief synopsis for the show: At Bobbie’s 35th birthday party, all her friends are wondering why isn’t she married? Why can’t she find the right man? And, why can’t she settle down and have a family?

Also starring in the show are Matt Doyle as Jamie, Christopher Fitzgerald as David, Christopher Sieber as Harry, Jennifer Simard as Sarah, Terence Archie as Larry, Etai Benson as Paul, Nikki Renee Daniels as Jenny, Claybourne Elder as Andy, Greg Hildreth as Peter, Kyle Dean Massey as Theo, Rashidra Scott as Susan, and Bobby Conte Thornton as P.J.

Company, directed by two-time Tony winner Marianne Elliott, begins preview performances on March 2 ahead of an official opening night on March 22, which happens to be Sondheim‘s 90th birthday!

Lin-Manuel Miranda, 'Queer Eye' Stars, & More Attend the 'Cats' World Premiere!

The Hamilton star was joined by so many other Broadway stars to support the stage-to-screen adaptation of the musical.

Queer Eye stars Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness were both at the event to support their friend Taylor Swift, who stars in the movie.

Some of the Broadway stars who attended the premiere included HerculesKrysta Rodriguez, Hadestown‘s Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada, Mean GirlsRenee Rapp, former On Your Feet stars Ana Villafane and Josh Segarra, future Company actress Katrina Lenk, former Wicked star Jenna Leigh Green, and Cats‘ original Tony-winning star Betty Buckley.

Also in attendance were Booksmart‘s Beanie Feldstein, model Sara Sampaio, singer Jennifer Nettles, CBS News’ Gayle King, Orange Is the New Black‘s Emma Myles and Dale Soules, theater owner Jordan Roth (in perfect high-fashion Grizabella cosplay), and of course, Cats composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Broadway's 'Company' Revival Sets Star-Studded Cast to Join Katrina Lenk & Patti LuPone!

The Stephen Sondheim musical Company is returning to Broadway next year for a gender-bent revival and the full cast has been announced!

Tony winner Katrina Lenk will be playing Bobbie, a character that was previously referred to as Bobby and played by a man in past productions. Patti LuPone will be making a highly anticipated return to the New York stage as Joanne.

Joining the cast (and pictured below from left to right) are Matt Doyle as Jamie, Christopher Fitzgerald as David, Christopher Sieber as Harry, Jennifer Simard as Sarah, Terence Archie as Larry, Etai Benson as Paul, Nikki Renee Daniels as Jenny, Claybourne Elder as Andy, Greg Hildreth as Peter, Kyle Dean Massey as Theo, and Bobby Conte Thornton as P.J.

Director Marianne Elliott collaborated with Sondheim to update the musical and bring the story into the 21st century. In Company, musical theatre’s most iconic bachelor becomes a bachelorette. Alec Baldwin Gets Support from Family at Arthur Miller Foundation Honors 2018!

Alec Baldwin happily hits the carpet with his adorable 5-year-old daughter Carmen and his wife Hilaria Baldwin while attending the 2018 Arthur Miller Foundation Honors at City Winery on Monday (October 22) in New York City.

The 60-year-old actor hosted the inaugural event and was joined by Liam Neeson, Rebecca Miller, Edie Falco, Tituss Burgess, The Band Visit‘s Ari’el Stachel and Katrina Lenk, Denee Benton, Stephen Spielberg, Nathan Lane and Brandon Victor Dixon.

The benefit celebrated the work of HBO Documentary Films and playwright Tony Kushner and the power of public school arts education, and included musical performances from children impacted by the Arthur Miller Foundation’s theater program.

The 29-year-old Oscar-winning actress met up with this year’s Best Actress winner Katrina Lenk and Best Supporting Actor winner Ari’el Stachel after the show.

Emma also posed for a group photo with the cast, including Adam Kantor and other actors.

The Band’s Visit swept the Tonys this year with 10 wins, including Best Musical. Emma is no stranger to Broadway after starring in the musical Cabaret!

'The Band's Visit' Sweeps Tony Awards 2018, Including Three Acting Wins!

Katrina Lenk, Tony Shalhoub, and Ari’el Stachel accept their awards at the 2018 Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.

The three actors from The Band’s Visit won during the show and the musical swept with ten total wins, including Best Musical.

Katrina won Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, Tony won Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical, and Ari’el won Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical. Make sure to see the full list of winners!
